There is a large and varied choice of cheese from all over the world. Lively friendly staff. Mail order is available, you can also buy crackers, cheese boards and knifes etc, take away or eat in. I love visiting this place.

We have visited the shop on a number of occasions and are always impressed with the cheese on offer and the knowledge/ helpfulness of the staff. The Poacher is a must have.

There are cheese shops and then there are CHEESE shops! We heard about this from a friend and made a special trip when we visited Lincoln. It's a cheese shop and a cafe. We made use of both aspects. The selection of cheeses is not as big as some, but it's incredibly carefully curated. Plenty of local options, a wide... More

Interesting little cafe with limited but tempting dishes. We had potted shrimp and salad/toast. A very tasty dish although perhaps not too generous with toast. Friendly staff and attentive service.

14 members of the Marquis of Granby Cheese Society Notts visited for a late lunch and sampled a variety of wonderful international cheeses, beautiful charcuterie and excellent Fine Wine all organised by the knowledgeable and hospitable team at Lincoln Cheese Society. We subsequently ordered another fine selection of cheeses delivered next day as promised to our meeting in November. We... More

What a delicious lunch of avocado on toasted sourdough bread topped with grilled halloumi cheese. Good selection of dishes from light bites to more substantial mains and also a dessert if you find the room to eat one. All representing great value for the portions you get. I enjoyed every mouthful and will be back to try other dishes on... More

Visited for lunch and to look round shop. Only small selection of soft drinks, mostly hot drinks and alcoholic. Really nice food, we had the rarebit and sausage sandwich and a cheese board. Both were brilliant. Friendly staff. Good portion sizes. Really like that the shop so lucky dip cheese cuts so you can buy a variety. Would recommend this... More

We finally spent a voucher that we received last Christmas! Several cheeses were tasted by two enthusiastic members of staff. We were spoilt for choice but finally settled on three. As all previous reviewers have said..if you like cheese this is the shop to visit!

While browsing the amazing array of cheeses to purchase, why not stop for a delicious lunch. A warm, bright atmosphere with room for maybe ten, this cafe offers fabulous service and a superb selection of dishes perfect for lunch. From smoked salmon with a cheese scone (comes with a little salad) to cheese souffle (again with a salad), camembert baked... More
