A lovely variation on afternoon tea. Wasn't perfect but worth a go for the price. Deserts were particularly good but depends on what you like. Wraps varied. The chicken one was meant to come with avocado or something and was missing. Didn't taste particularly good but the salmon one was delightful and don't usually eat salmon! Burger was tasty but... Food is good and service excellent (Kieran is a gem), however the decor is a little aged and the thumping bass heavy trance music in the background is inappropriate, too loud and kills conversation as well as rippling drinks.....quit a shame.

I love this place. Went to lunch last Sunday and as ever thought it great food, service and ambience. Why oh why does it have to be spoiled by really loud, unsuitable music??? Couldn't hear each other talk over the table, As other diner said, just didn't suit the time or the type of diners. Really strange. Have been before... More

Lots of efficient and smart staff. Good food, although drinks are expensive, especially wines. Some tables are uncomfortably high - the lower tables have the same size seats and are at the correct height for eating. 15% service charge was buried into the small print of the bill despite menu stating 10%. Strange that they have annoying thump thump house... More

Out with Mum to celebrate her 92nd birthday on Friday 10th Feb 2017. The restaurant was fairly quiet and delightful, which suited us very well. The staff ( Phillip and James) looked after us so well, even fetching us cushions to give us a little extra lift to sit comfortably at the dining table ( neither of us is tall).... More

We had supper on a Friday night when we were staying at the hotel. We had the Rose County steak with the signature onion. The steak was fantastic but I didn't particularly enjoy the onion. Service was great. The only negative is the that seats were incredibly low and the tables high, so bring some cushions unless you're 6' 6"... More

We took our adult children out to celebrate our son's birthday last week and we were very disappointed. We don't mind paying over the odds for a special high quality meal but the food was poor to say the least and we paid nearly £400 for 6 of us. The fillet steak was tiny and although not over cooked it... More

Two large slices of a great piece of beef, a large Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and veg with a good helping of gravy, what more could you want for a Sunday Lunch? Good Service? And that is what we got, the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and with typical scouse humour, they were brilliant. The background music wasn't great... More

We stayed at Malmaison a few days a go for a girlie night, our rooms were fabulous and we had a wonderful time. We didn't dine in the evening but we took full advantage of the wonderful breakfast offered... Our waiter, Christian, was absolutely fabulous, he was very attentive to all our needs. My friend is a Vegan and he... More
