Always busy and no wonder. Good range of pub food at cheap prices, and great booze deals. Bottles of wine and deals on cocktails are really good. Big screens for football too.

ok, staff standoffish and wooden, bit like going to a Disney theme dining room (think Disneyland Paris). Food ok, burgers etc such a shame when name and location make it such a pull. they need a rethink it tries to be everything from a northumberland b and b cafe to a non descript pub and heres a bit of food... More

this place is ok for a few drinks as prices are ok food average staff look like they can"t be bothered some staff need to smile a bit more some staff to interested in looking around than listening to you had to repeat my order three times which was quite annoying and still the wrong order came out dont think... More

usually have a few hand pulls on the go, usually nicely kept and always competitively priced. Staff pleasant and the place is always busy. Food here is ok but not great, mind you its cheap, similar to a Wetherspoons I suppose so it does a job.

The food in here is ok, though brought me wrong side order, drinks are inexpensive, it is always busy can't always get a seat.

typical pub grub, nothing special really, cheap and chearfull for what you pay you can not grumble. steak and chips with a pint was good for the price. not fine dinning but hey what do you expect for the price. This is a local bar close to Mathew Street. The location is very good for shopping,drinking or just sight seeing. Be aware though if you do order food it can sometimes take over an hour to appear - i have been here a few times where i have had to cancel my meal as running out of time. This bar... More

excellent choice of wine and especially love tuesdays wine deal day and all bottless of wine are the same price. Great new zealand sav blanc. staff really helpful and inside recently had a refurb

Visited the William Gladstone one lunch time last week. Wouldnt describe it as a restaurant but a pub serving good food at reasonable prices, Went with my wife, we chose from the two meals from £6.95 pub favourites.
