Went to Tom's Kitchen for weekend brunch upon a recommendation from colleagues. Service was very poor - inattentive, forgetful and uninterested. Surprised that even the first coffee was charged over and above the cost of brunch. Shouldn't every breakfast come with a hot beverage of some sort? Additionally disappointing because the first coffees were like warm when served to us.... More

I love the old "gastro pub" thing. All the traditional pub face, but a little more quality and finesse! But quite far frankly, Tom's Place was at bit of a rip off - and the place was packed, so hopefully others didn't feel the same as I did. The service was just OK - wrong wine came, food was "OK",... The French toast doesn't taste like having any egg in it's ingredient. It is like a fried toast. Literally the worst French toast I ever had. The sausage in kids menu was spicy. Good location . Family atmosphere. Costly for the quality it offers . Not impressive cupochino.

This was my second visit to this restaurant and, sadly, it was as underwhelming as the first time. The location is great and I love the various rooms but boy does the food disappoint. I started with the spicy crab cake, which was fine although a little bland despite the accompanying cucumber & chili relish. My main course was monkfish... More

After reading a review in Time out for child friendly restaurants we tried it for breakfast. The place was fairly quiet and the service was ok. The coffee got cold very quickly and the cooked breakfast (not particularly big) was a little burnt in places. The sausages were rubbery..My friends egg and smoked salmon looked a lot better as did... More

Very tasty breakfast though my son did decide that there wasn't enough bacon on the full english and the best option would have been the vegetarian breakfast with a side of bacon!

The Tom's Kitchen concept is relatively simple: serve above-average quality food in a very casual setting (yes, a large kitchen ...). Although most dishes might not be very original they do have a certain 'extra' and are always of good quality. Yes, I do not think that many people will be disappointed - although you also will not be overwhelmed!

Casual night it worth the night, The food is cooked like home style, fresh and local ingredients, not refine cuisine but it was tasty and good. Efficient service, good bistrot

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
