Absolutely gutted to find Herb & Spice closed. Fantastic curries over last ten years now consigned to memory. Will greatly miss our occasional but regular visits when my friend comes down from Norwich. One star just flags our disappointment in losing a true 5 star...More

I popped by last night to say "hi" but you were no longer there. I am sorry I should have been more attentive and now I will be left with just fond memories of many great meals and just as great service (you keeping my...More

Stumbled upon this little place by chance after a long day at a conference, and walking miles, myself and collegue really enjoyed our dishes, a bit of a mix up with the rice but think this was probably just due to accent differences. I would...More

Really good and attentive service. Just ask your waiter and they will give you exactly what will excite your taste buds the most. The food is excellent, the portions are generous. It is a bit hidden but probably this is why it is a real...More

Since my last visit and review, I have been to the Herb and Spice on several occasions. Even though Mukhtar has sadly passed, on the service remains to be excellent. The standards of this spot has not dropped. Whether I come here with friends or...More

I'm not sure where the main picture comes from, as the place definitely doesn't look anything like it, but don't let that put you off. Although the decor is a bit dated and the power ballads they play are a bit loud, the food is...More

On my private journey to Elsewhere, the street Whites Row was the quiet shortcut, but with unexpected fragrant delights of Indian cooking. Authentically based Bangladeshi cuisine, served by smiley faces, more than generous hospitality, this experience,, left one feeling more like a guest than a...More

This is a small, a bit hidden gem within short walk to Liverpool street and trendy Shoreditch. Both food and service are spotless and I will definitely come back with my friends for dinner to taste real India again. The menu is quite extensive so...More

Was recommended by trip advisor and google maps. Was not let down. The option is alacarte and there is no meal available. The soup and the chapati were very good. I believe Naan is not a good option in London since the preparation is not...More

Having been recommended to try this restaurant I was hoping for something at least interesting especially due to its proximity to Brick Lane. The food was definitely mediochre. The popadums were burnt and cardboard-like in texture. The chutney was watery. The chapati was hard and...More

Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world
class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to
be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of
Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the
Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious
legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour
groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden
squares, these days you're more likely to catch a

Over the last 17 years Herb & Spice Indian Restaurant is contributing and providing delicious traditional Indian food to everyone in the country. Even in today's challenging business environment, Herb & Spice Indian Restaurant is still playing the greatest role in the culinary curry industry. I wouldn’t say we are the best but I can pronounce that we are one of the best in the market. The facilities we provide to our customers are the following • Fully air conditioned • Fully licensed• Private banqueting room (up to 70 people)• Private party venue (up to 70 people)• Delivery and takeaway service (up to 3 miles)• Disability access• Child friendly restaurantWe respect our customer as a human being, and truly honour their rights to be treated fairly and honestly; this makes everything else much easier. I believe, it’s not me who pays the wages. I only handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages. Customer service is just a day in, day out ongoing, never ending and compassionate type of activity. As the owner I believe there is only one boss in my restaurant and that is the customer. My customers have the right to fire every one by spending their money somewhere else. I would say I don’t believe in excellence but only in constant improvement and change.
