After reading several TA reviews, we made a reservation for Christmas dinner. I actually wrote my name down because I suppose being a Scottish name, they couldn’t spell it. At that time, our impressions were those of excitement at the atmosphere, the menus and location. We were really looking forward to our Christmas dinner. On Christmas evening when I gave... More

Great value for money at £13.95 for three courses. The look and atmosphere certainly created the feeling of France. We had a lovely evening with good house wine and delicious food. Onion soup could have done with a bit more garlic or depth but main courses were well cooked. Coq au vin was a substantial helping. We rounded it off... More

We ate here twice on our 4 day visit to London. This restaurant had the best food and was the best value for money of the restaurants we used. We selected from the set price (£13.95) 3 course meal. Unlike other set menus the choice was excellent (see web site). We can particularly recommend the chicken liver/mushroom starter, the Lamb... More

Wasn't sure if this would be any good as £13.95 for a 3 course meal in Kensington? However food was amazing and service excellent. Lamb Wellington was really good. Cosey, intimate restaurant with candles on the table. Definitely worth a visit!

This was a difficult place to review. We got off to a bad start when we arrived and they denied all knowledge of our online booking even when we showed them the electronic receipt. Fortunately, though, there was a table for four available in their very small dining room. (I believe there is more space upstairs.) There was a very... More

In my many travels to London, I have always tried to have a meal at this here. It is small (thus the name), reservations are recommended. The food is wonderful, the service superb, and the menu has multiple selection, you cannot go wrong. I highly recommend this restaurant and know you will not be regret it.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
