Visited here last week and loved it. Had a bottle of the Spencer Trappist Ale which I hadn't seen before - incredible! Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable too. Will have to go back to try the food!

Rumours now abound in respect of the fate of the new General Manager appointed in March 2016 who appeared to be trying to restore the iconic reputation of this pub in the face of past corporate homogenisation by brand-obsessed owners M&B. Such rumours have escalated...More

I don't know what's happened to this pub recently. I've attended their 4th of July American beer festival many times over the years, but this year the treatment I received was appalling. When I arrived (having travelled from Reading) at opening time on Thursday 29th...More

Outdoors in London is always a premium. It is a decent pub with decent BBQ. It has a good ale and beer selection on tap. But it is the outdoors space that makes it.

O.K., so it's almost Chelsea but £17 plus 10% service charge automatically added for a medium size piece of cod and a cup full of (frozen) peas, leaks and a few bits of choritzo is rather steep. If I wanted a diet meal I'd have...More
