Paul welcomes you with a nice fragrance of freshly baked bread, which, for an Italian, is one of the best things in the world. The panini and salads are very good as well.

Tried this spot for a quick breakfast. The pastry was delicious and fresh! The latte was good too. I also had a fresh orange juice & a fruit pot. All for under £10. Cafe has free wifi and seating available.

I loved the pastries here until I saw the food server (also cashier) literally handling the pastries with his bare hands after delivering our coffees to us. He was reloading the display case and one by one brought them out from the back in his hands! Tossing them onto the trays like frisbees. Not so appealing...... So quality products but... More

Mmmmm the classic cakes, coffees, sandwiches and treats. A must, must try tho it is not cheap, depending on your budget.

the menu sounds quite french. I love its breads and sandwiches. Great macaroons and tarts. Although a bit expensive but worth it.

Went here for continental breakfast at weekend. Coffees are excellent, should have asked which type of coffee to look out for it elsewhere. Ordered ham and cheese croissants, frangipani and palmier, what a breakfast, first class and can't wait to go back. Cheery service with a smile and very helpful barista. Thanks

there are those who disparage paul bakery shops, but we have never been disappointed with the taste or quality of their goods. this shop was no exception - as usual, we had lemon and chocolate tarts (always a good combination, although strawberry and raspberry ones are a good choice too in our experience). unfortunately, seating is limited at this establishment... In London for the day and meeting friends at the Citadines Hotel around the corner, this was a great find for a very nice snack lunch and a coffee. Lovely fresh home made sandwiches on proper French bread and really good value salad boxes with interesting mixes of salad, cheese and fruit. Croque Monsieur the best i have tasted in... More

I tried different branches of Paul but this one is my favourite so far. It's very cosy and relaxing, staff super friendly. Try the strawberry tart, absolutely delicious. If you are curious and want to know more details about the place, more info on my blog: http://claudiasliferecipes.wordpress.com/2014/11/11/paul/

Description
Our Paul Bakery & Cafe in High Holborn is located at 296-298, between High Holborn and Chancery Lane tube stations. Lincoln’s Inn is just behind us to the south, along with Lincoln’s Inn Fields and the Sir John Soanes Museum. Just South of Lincoln’s Inn Fields, at 13 Portsmouth Street, you will find The Old Curiosity Shop, dating from the 16th Century and immortalised in Charles Dickens’ novel of the same name. Gray’s Inn is a couple of minutes’ walk to the North of our High Holborn shop. Continuing on the North side of High Holborn, we are about a 10 minute walk from Great Ormond Street Hospital, and from the British Museum. The museum houses remarkable permanent collections as well as block-busting visiting exhibitions, and its Great Court which opened in 2000, covering the central 19th Century quadrangle, is the largest covered square in Europe. Visit us to enjoy our great selection of viennoiseries, sandwiches, salads, hot food, patisserie, hot and cold drinks and freshly baked hand made French bread. Closest stations are Holborn (Central and Piccadilly Lines) and Chancery Lane (Central Line). 16 seats are available. No disabled access available. Free wi-fi.
