Although we live locally it was our first visit. Some good traditional fare on the menu, polite staff and good service, although we had to order at the bar. The steak and ale pie was delicious, and so was the bangers and mash - and...More

Went in for after-work drinks with work mates. The local is nice, needs a bit of updating. Maybe start service more quality food.

The only disappointing food of our week long stay in a Rye. Very over priced £8.50 for fish and chips for a meagre portion of cold chips and a small piece of over cooked fish. This is one place that we would not return to.

This really is not a particularly great pub. Although it is probably the best this part of Finchley has to offer. The food is genuinely really poor. The staff are a good bunch though and they have a decent drink selection. Pub quiz on Thursday...More

Whenever I pop in here for a drink it brings back memories of the gardening shop that was on this site that I used to visit with my late father.A very pleasant place to go and one of the few pubs left in the area.

Hi Carol Although we are dog lovers, unfortunately we don't allow any furry friends in the bar area. We hope your trustee pooch will forgive you if you pay us a visit anyway. Kind regards, Catcher in the Rye
