Been there twice and really enjoyed the food which combines modern and traditional pub food. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the decor original. Always busy so booking is recommended. One of the best local pub in Putney

Prince of Wales kindly let me hire out one of their upstairs private rooms for free, to run a charity pub quiz. Room was perfectly laid out, bar person all night up there just for us, super helpful with everything I asked for. Hard to find a place to put on a charity event in London that doesn't charge, so... Visited hear for Sunday lunch recently and we were really disappointed having previously enjoyed the food there. Prices are pretty high for a pub, and you expect decent quality food, but it was really bland and basic. The pub itself is really nice. I hope they turn things around there.

One of my favourite locals in London. I would definitely recommend the chorizo scotch eggs... and if you have more time the Sunday roast is really decent too.

The food is good and the range of drinks is decent enough. Can't complain on that front because I've yet to be disappointed by either! The staff leave a lot to be desired though. Very miserable and pretty slow. Not all of them mind you, it's just recently there's been a couple of particularly sullen barmaids and a very slow... More

I had an excellent meal with my son. Attentive staff and allergy aware. I have a gluten allergy and the menu was clearly marked with dishes that were already gluten free. The waitress also said the kitchen could modify most of the other dishes to suit. Good portions and very tasty food.

Great pub, good beer selection, nice food, friendly busy, atmosphere and good attentive staff, what more can one ask. Oh... and hot mulled wine/mulled sloe gin in winter too. I ate at this place two nights on the run in November 2016, great on both occasions and am looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in Putney, SW London.... More

Terrific food, and small cozy atmosphere. Really like it here, and a good little best kept secret in Putney

I was here early November. Best pub in London. Best food I have had in as long as I can remember, the slow cooked short ribs were out of this world. Staff was so friendly and accommodating! Recommend it to everyone! Cheers chef!!! :)

Busy pub, excellent beer, decent range of real ales on offer, high throughput ensures quality. Had a steak here for supper in the dining room, best steak I've eaten out in ages. Perfectly cooked, excellent quality meat. Can't wait to go back, would thoroughly recommend.
