As a regular visitor to this restaurant, I was disappointed to find that it had permanently closed. However, I have now found out that the Ali (owner) and his team have moved. The same great food can now be found at Bengal Spice on the Holloway Road. I've been there and it is as great as ever. So, if you... More

I ordered a heck of a lot of dishes for a family gathering.I didn't know where to order from but my neighbour gave me a recommendation for spices. So that's when I discovered the hidden treasures of spices. It was quick and easy to order to call them and ask for it man called Ali. He is great he will... More

Don't judge a book by its cover! This Indian restaurant has a splendid service and excellent food. We went there as a family of 6, got seating earlier than what we booked for, and the waiter did everything he could to guide us to our choice in food and spiciness. It was all perfect and a really good experience, even... More

Ali did a very good job. The service level is outstanding - the food is very tasty / a minus is the atmosphere which is ok but not fancy. Anyway if you are looking for a very good Indian / Bangladeshi food experience you are at the right place! We are definitely going there again

The curry is not greasy which is good. But both meat dishes we had were very lime flavoured to the point it was not pleasant to eat (lime was the main flavour of the dish and it definitely shouldn't have been for a chicken dhansak). It also took half an hour to get the popadoms we ordered straight away with... More

There is nothing flash about this place but it's one of the nicest curries I've had in a while - the manager took it upon himself to recommend dishes and sides and they were spot on. It's bring your own booze.

I've read a lot of unfair reviews about this place. The outside of the restaurant does not exactly say to me come in and eat here. If you want wine, beer or spirits with your meal you will find an of licence jus around the corner very reasonable. There were locals eating which is always a good sign and whilst... More

it doesn't look like much from outside, so when we unknowingly wondered in I was expecting another bog standard Indian where you struggle to taste much difference between your jalfrezi and your korma. To our delight, this was not the case and a tantalising selection of interesting and unheard of dishes greeted us on the menu. We might have been... More

Visited with a few friends and couldn't be happier for the service and food we received. The wide range of options will leave you a little unsure of what to order but talk to the big waiter and he will narrow it down well for you and it will be absolutely delicious! Had such a good time I had to... More
