Visited this place over the weekend with friend. She had been recommended. Food was very poor quality. Patatas bravas bland greasy and tasteless. Aubergine. Three greasy slimed pieces. Very untraditionally cooked and presented. The wine I drank tasted watered down. Serving staff OKish. Very zealous at plate clearing. Watching your every bite. Very disappointing indeed

Have been coming here for a few months now and I'm always satisfied with the service(Especially when served by Saj, which is an excellent waiter!), authentic Spanish atmosphere and the food is great! Have tried different dishes every time I went and I tell you that I haven't been disappointed once! Highly recommend this place on any day but have... More

What a great restaurant to find while visiting Greenwich on our weekend away to London. We visited the Cutty Sark and then found the San Miguel Spanish restaurant to have a simple lunch from the Tapas menu. What a delight the chicken fajhaitas cooked to perfection washed down with the San Miguel of course. Recommend a visit with friendly staff.... More

We stopped here to have a simple lunch. We loved choosing lots of vegetables from the Tapas menu. All of the food was delicious and well priced. I would definitely return to this place.

The curry house we had planned to eat at shut at 10pm so we looked around and spotted the San Miguel. A lovely Spanish restaurant with authentic Spanish food. Very good meal and I'll return next time I'm in Greenwich.

We had some cold and hot tapas, proper Spanish food. I like Greenwich area, sometimes I just go to San Miguel, book a paella, have a walk and then back to enjoy the food. Good wine, not many options in desserts.

Lovely tapas restaurant - staff all very friendly and polite. Nice setting inside; feels very authentic and you can forget you are in the middle of Greenwich. Food very tasty and good sangria! Visit here every couple of months.

This place provided food at I could eat with my gluten/dairy intolerance and an extensive menu that the whole family could enjoy. Only downside was that I could not have a pudding, but that is pretty much the case in seven out of ten places I eat out, it is hard for restaurants to provide a dairy free pudding.

San Miguel is perfectly located in the centre of a tourist hotspot in Greenwich. From the outside it looks like an authentic Spanish restaurant. The the interior is modestly decorated but still maintains its Spanish theme. However, the service and the quality of the food left a lingering bitter taste in my mouth. We waited for 20/30mins before the waitress... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
