We called here as it was close to our hotel as we love Greek food. We had saganaki and tzatsiki for starters but had to order extra pitta bread which was strange. I had chicken souvlaki with salad and a small amount of rice. I...More

My husband and I ate here for a pre theatre meal. The atmosphere was lovely with Greek music playing in the background. The found was delicious, with plenty of traditional Greek dishes. I have coeliac disease requiring gluten free, the waitress was very aware of...More

This is a nice-looking little restaurant in Bloomsbury, close to the British Museum. I have visited a couple of times and have found the staff to be helpful and the food quite good, although I haven't been particularly adventurous in ordering, tending to play safe...More

Little independent restaurant in Bloomsbury..friendly staff..nice and cosy..food what we got was very nice but not enough for what we paid..no tsatziki on my partners souvlaki but it was on mine?cold rice on the side handful of salad..not worth the £37 with a beer and...More

The restaurant is cramped with very liitle room for staff or customers but this could be viewed as quaint if not for the truly terrible food. We had a meze. Whilst the Greek dips were passable, the meat was very scarce and poorly cooked. Obviously...More

Paid a return visit here whilst in London for the World Athletics Championships. Having not visited for some time we were pleased to find standards have not dropped. Starters of humus (sorry cannot spell Greek name) and lamb meatballs were very good although having to...More

Used to go to this restaurant for meze and set menu. This time, they no longer had any meze or set menu. Only expensive a la carte. So we ordered kleftiko and lamb in tomato sauce. The shank of lamb in kleftoko was much smaller...More

A major disappointment: the wonderful Konaki no longer offers their incomparable Mezze! Truly, you could put together your own mezze with a careful trawl through the menu but it wouldn't be the same. So we protested; they said "but we can do it for you...More

Konaki is one of those few places where you don't want to recommend because it's already hard enough getting a table without a reservation and it really puts all the chain Greek places to shame. The delicious, fresh starter dishes alone of the mezze would...More

The food and staff will make you feel like you're In taverna on holiday, rather than Bloomsbury . The quality and value are outstanding. We share a cold starter and it was delicious. Sit outside if you can

Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and
leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance
access to many of London's most popular attractions.
It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated
museums, including the must-see British Museum.
Despite an understandable popularity with students,
tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury

Yes. Meat, fish, salads. You will need to ask the waiting staff about their dips, but hummous and tsatziki, should be fine. Ask for veg crudités, raw. Don't go at a busy time, or you may not get the attention you deserve.
