I've been a member of the IoD for a while and I was always sceptical as to whether it was worth it. I can guarantee that once you've been in this building you will not want to leave. A perfect place to work, with free...More

The IoD is in a fantastic building in the heart of the city. The downstairs restaurant produces some v nice food - soup and then a hot or cold main meal. The training rooms upstairs are v good, with their own barista and a great...More

I use IoD quite regularly for meetings. The cafe in the basement is quite a good location. The large room on the ground floor is good if one has meetings after 6.30 pm as it is quieter at that time.

Nice wine bar and restaurant in the lower level of a grand old building. Cosy ambiance in the wine bar, although the cafe is not so cosy.

There is still a grandeur to this establishment. One that brings back fond memories, as my father was a member here. Of course it has changed since then in some respects but it is still a very good place to meet and discuss business. It...More

Very hit or miss as to whats available both in terms of menu choices and rooms to sit in - they seem to focus most of their efforts on private events. The food is largely overpriced pub grub, and the bar bills are the same....More

Good choice of food and well chosen wine list. New dining room location works well and atmosphere of the room is conducive to conversation. A pleasant evening. I am a member of the Institute of Directors.

Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII,

It depends on the event off course however it's best to be smart casual. Most events I attend have the men in Business Suits and the ladies dressed if they were going to a meal at chic restaurant.
