We were eating here on Friday evening. Service was fast, friendly and active. Food was good but not amazing. Except for mushroom risotto that my daughter had. That was tasty and really well prepared!

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years (over 10 times since maybe 2005 or 2006) and it is consistently amazing. The manager and staff are unfailingly lovely. Cracking wine list too. I would score this place 10 out of 10 for food and service on every time I have visited. See you soon again guys I... More

About Thyme, tucked away just South of Victoria station is a relaxed Mediterranean restaurant. The menu is diverse and the food good (rather than great), with a comfortable environment and decent service and wine list.

I have been to this restaurant both in a large group (twice) and as part of a small party and the food was consistently good. Service was first class and the house red wine - a superb Rioja - proved a great fillip to this teetotler. After friends insisted on pouring dribbles of theirs into an empty glass for me... More

The resturante provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was pretty full downstairs for a Tuesday night. We were seated upstairs which was more spacious. The service was good we weren't rushed and had plenty of time to chat. The menus offered something for everyone. The food was well cooked and presented.a couple of us ordered baby squid and were... It was our first night in London -- a Friday night. I wanted something fun for the first night. I read numerous reviews and decided on About Thyme. We loved it. Great Tapas. The wine was lovely. The owner was so much fun! He was so generous and gave us a couple of glasses on the house! Thank you so... More

We enjoyed a delicious dinner in Feb 17. The ground floor is small and a little cramped with more space upstairs. Service was very professional even though they were busy. Menu had many nice choices but we decided to take the tapas option. We chose 5 dishes and also received complimentary bread and olive oil. All the food was well... More

Service excellent and we were greeted well. One of the table had the linguini which he said was excellent. Sea bass was very nice and I had the duck (well done) which was good. I had a glass of the Chardonnay which was very drinkable. The other two ordered a red wine which was excellent. Will return as we had... More

Not sure what the fuss is about. Small portions, very pricey, mediocre food, and a generally poor staff attitude left a bad impression. Chose to visit after reading glowing reviews and reading that the restaurant was meant to specialise in good quality ingredients - however, it would appear we picked an evening when their chef wasn't working, and had handed... I must say, I am at loss for words, Could we have had and off day, could we have done better, could we have improved in any way? It is the risk we take opening our doors to an all too discerning public. Did we serve chalk or cheese, brickbats or bouquets? More

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
