This restaurant is quite spacious and ideal for a meal before or after visiting Tate Britain. I am not sure if the staff were having a bad day but they were not very attentive to customers, not bringing menus, bringing the wrong type of lassi,...More

We did not want to leave London without adding an Indian restaurant to our list and this one in Pimlico was great. It was a little after lunchtime so we had great service and not many patrons around. We enjoyed vegetable biryani, mix vegetable curry...More

Good place to go after a visit to the Tate Britain. Polite and efficient service and good old style Indian food served in a nice and spacious setting.

I was with a family group. We needed somewhere to meet and eat before a late visit to the Hockney exhibition at Tate Britain which is just round the corner. Having read previous reviews I knew that The Millbank Spice would probably be okay but...More

Have been here many times and never disappointed . And I am considered to be over critical! The food and service is consistently good, and they appear to remember their clients. They will listen to your special requests, such as not over cooking the fish....More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than
most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely
residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames,
is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle
architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art
lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class
Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art
from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and

Description
Modern design meets traditional Indian virtues and the result is a marvellous marriage of the two. This smart restaurant is very contemporary, kitted out in spicy orange and regal purple with lovely decor all around. The dishes have been slightly modernised, but only in the sense that we're all eating more heathily these days, so fat content has been lowered and fewer artificial colourings are in use. The food is delightful, spicy and fresh and winning. In fact, you will probably find yourself surrounded by purring regulars on your first visit. Dishes include the classics you love, like lamb tikka, samosa, onion bhajia, tandoori specialities, special duck dishes, classic chicken tikka masala, featherlight naan and all the trad curries. Baltis are available if you ask nicely. The service is warm and helpful and the entire experience very nice indeed.
