Every time I comme to London, I always head to Brick Lane for an Indian or Bangladeshi meal. It's the closest you'll get to being in one of those countries. As my favorite restaurant of the past 10 years had closed, I had to pick from many as a respectable substitute. The food at Sheba was awesome, especially washed down... More

Great Indian restaurant - super friendly staff and a good atmosphere. The food was exceptional and cooked to order - the restaurant didn't do chips (i like chips with my Curry 😆) so the manager nipped out a bought me a portion from the take away up the road - great. Prices are reasonable as well - overall highly recommended.

Third visit to this place - 3rd time we've been offered a good deal, and the 3rd time I've walked away from dinner happy and satisfied. The pros: extensive menu, prices are reasonable, byo drinks, service is wonderful, meals are quick and meals are tasty Cons: the place is loud, due to popularity everytime I've been the place is full.... Went for a curry around 10pm on Sat night. The place was quiet but the staff were incredibly noisy. Shouting, running through the restaurant, bickering - not good for atmosphere. Order taken quickly, too quickly I feel. Cold plates and food almost thrown at us. No check back on food. Food itself was average. Bill was presented without asking. We... More

Ten things wrong with this place. Firstly we booked 2 weeks in advance but still got told to wait as they tried to rush out the poor old bloke and his wife to make room for our table. The elderly couple were in middle of celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. This was DISGRACEFUL and DISGUSTING to see.I wouldn't have let... More

We came here December the 31st before heading to the fireworks for New Year's Eve . The food was absolutely delicious. I love Indian and have eaten in many restaurants over the years but I have to say the chicken naga and the chicken dhansak we ordered were 2 of the best I've ever had !Staff were very Attentive and... We attended Sheba for a birthday celebration. Upon entering the restaurant I was immediately happy with the authenticity of the place even the smells were truly lovely. We were seated downstairs as it was a big party. I ordered the lamb shank which looked awful on the plate and the taste was bland. The orders came in drips and drabs... More

All the restaurant in Brick lane will claim they are the best in the world...this one said the best in UK. The reality it is not really as good as a medium restaurant in India...but worth exploring Brick lane for the ambiance. Once we finsihed we were pushed out as there was a couple waiting to take our seat. Did... More

As American Express card holder I supported and pro-actively participated in 'Shop Small' campaign. As this restaurant advertised acceptance of American Express cards and their participation in the campaign (I double checked with a member of staff at the door), I decided to chose them over many other Indian restaurants in the same street. I was seated by the door... More

One of the oldest and best loved Indian restaurants in London, Sheba has been serving Brick Lane since 1974. Awarded Best Curry House in the UK in The Cobra Good Curry Guide 2015, Sheba offers classic dishes alongside signature recipes, a range of vegetarian options and Bangladeshi seafood specials. Using seasonal ingredients directly from all corners of South East Asia, the Sheba menu tantalises diners with both recognisable classics and signature specials. Only premium halal meat is used, with a selection of kebabs being a popular option to share. Tandoori recipes use carefully measured blends of spices and yoghurts, while a traditional tandoori grill showcases the Sheba restaurant jerk seasoning. As well as a great selection of vegetarian dishes, Indian seafood delicacies at Sheba Restaurant Brick Lane are an eclectic venture away from the norm that features at so many other curry houses. The staff, the Bollywood interior, add to the exotic ambience. A key part of Brick Lane, Sheba Restaurant London is just stones throw away from Shoreditch High Street Station, Liverpool Street and Aldgate East Tube.
