Located very near to the London Eye, we arrived at Troia hungry and much after the lunch crowd was gone, looking for a place to have a quick bite. The outdoor seating looked inviting, and we were quickly seated. We ordered a few middle eastern/...More

This restaurant is situated across from London County Hall on the south bank. We came across it on a warm evening for a pre-theatre dinner and had a meal outside while people watching. The waiters were very chatty and welcoming. Their deep fried Brie cheese...More

Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a
thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National
Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the
reasons that Southbank is such a collectively
cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly
activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized
river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo
Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and

Description
This smart glass-fronted cafe, restaurant bar on Belvedere Road is neighbours with the Royal Festival Hall, Westminster Kitchen! and Chez Gerard in that cultural hot-spot, the Southbank. The 82-dishes (excluding set, special and children meals) offer a comprehensive taste of Turkey's national (healthy) diet. There's kisir, a cold starter of nuts, bulgar wheat, herbs and spring onions. Hearty mains include kuzu guvec, a lamb casserole, and a delicious mariage of runner beans and onions served with a rich tomato sauce and rice called yesil fasulye. There are fish, pasta, rice, and special veggie dishes too. Desserts make an intriguing change from treacle pudding and cheesecake. How about kaymakh kestane - sweet chestnuts sprinkled with chestnuts and served with home-made cream
