Booed a week in advance for a Saturday lunch time. Shown straight to our very low tiny seats; just like being back in junior school. 2 of the guests were half an hour late but two staff didn't mind, we just drank their house wheat beer whilst we waited. We ordered the meze to share for 4. However we received... More

In this area this restaurant is not that expensive than the others (still not cheap), which I could feel, because it was crowded. The guests are quite different so it was loud... The people were very friendly, the mixed grill was very good, although the rice could have been bigger. The tzatziki was a bit oily, but thats ok.

Dear 509d_vidb Thanks for your feedback, I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your Tzatziki, I will pass it on to the chefs so they can improve the ingredients. We would like to see you again soon. Kind regards, Sezer More

We came to celebrate our daughter's 20th birthday and it was a great evening. From our arrival, Sezer took us in hand and, with humour, he helped steer us through the menu with success. We started with Meze for 2 as a starter for 4 - fresh and refreshing, with delicious aubergine, hummus and so much else. We accompanied it... More

When we arrived the staff were polite but after they took our order the bad stuff started. They forgot our starters. We all ordered beef. Two of us ordered the beef medium and one ordered it rare. All of our steaks were completely dry, above well done. The french fries that the menu told us we were getting we ended... More

If you're going near the London Eye and feeling like some Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine at reasonable prices, then this is the place to pop into. The decor was very basic and food was good (but not great), prices very reasonable, but the service was attentive.

I took my partner to the Troia Restaurant on Monday 15th after touring London on her birthday. I booked purely on the Reviews I had read plus as she is a vegetarian they had a good vegetarian selection on the menu. We visited Troia twice, once with my daughter and her husband, and a second time just the two of us. On both occasions the service was excellent, with attentive but unobtrusive staff. The piping hot freshly prepared food was excellent, and we had a great time on both occasions.

We went to the Troia for lunch with a friend. We had the cold meze at £9.95 per person! What a deal for 8 small dishes soo tasty and freshly made. Also the home made baklava was superb! Sezer was our waiter and honestly he made our day! He was professional, made good recommendations and our food was served with... More

After going up the London Eye, my mother and I were looking for somewhere to have a late lunch and so just wondered around. It's a small walk and a bit out of the way but well worth finding. We weren't looking for a fancy meal, so Troia was perfect. I has the Feta cheese Pasta with a tomato sauce... More

Description
This smart glass-fronted caf, restaurant bar on Belvedere Road is neighbours with the Royal Festival Hall, Yo Sushi! and Chez Gerard in that cultural hot-spot, the Southbank. The 82-dishes (excluding set, special and children meals) offer a comprehensive taste of Turkey's national (healthy) diet. There's kisir, a cold starter of nuts, bulgar wheat, herbs and spring onions. Hearty mains include kuzu guvec, a lamb casserole, and a delicious mariage of runner beans and onions served with a rich tomato sauce and rice called yesil fasulye. There are fish, pasta, rice, and special veggie dishes too. Desserts make an intriguing change from treacle pudding and cheesecake. How about kaymakh kestane - sweet chestnuts sprinkled with chestnuts and served with home-made cream?

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
