One of the best fish and chips I ever had in UK. Selection of beer and ales is amazing. Staff nice and polite, nothing was to much to ask. Atmosphere was great . It has been a great night out with friends

Really good breakfasts with quality ingredients. Nice ambience and decor - relaxed and welcoming place. Staff were really genuine and friendly, chatted with us but didn't impose. Will definitely be back!

Great hostess/waitress upstairs in the dining room. Pub food was good (the nutella dessert especially!). I had lamb and it was tasty, others had fish and chips.

I have just had the most wonderful time at the Kings Head in SW5. The staff are amazing and the chef just produced the best Shepherds Pie I have ever had. It was made with slow braised shoulder of lamb and tasted heavenly. Now for dessert yum.

Wow, thank you for the review Bernadette. Your feedback is massively appreciated. So great to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. I have passed on your comments to our head chef and he is beaming with joy. I hope that dessert rose to the challenge as well. More

First time back at this place after its total refurb. They have totally transformed it from a great pub to an amazing pub. More space, more seating and an upstairs restaurant. Approximately 8 real ales on tap and a comprehensive food menu. Completely on trend and a great place to socialise and relax after a long day at the office.... More

I used to go here a lot, it was well managed with fantastic staff. My last few visits under new management have not been an enjoyable experiences. Staff have been in-personable and inefficient. It's a shame having known what it used to be. Cold and unfriendly, wouldn't bother.

Small pub, plenty of atmosphere and a up market menu compared to normal pub food. worth a visit, good wine list and variety of beers.

The King’s Head pub was a delight for food. Downstairs was there is a bustling pub. When we went upstairs, after a short, unwelcoming wait, we were eventually treated to a wonderful dining experience. Also went back for a light lunch. This included one of the best pastrami sandwiches that we have ever had.

I spent Christmas Day at The King's Head and had a wonderful time. The food was great, the atmosphere very friendly, chatting to other guests who were also enjoying the day and the staff, were just perfect. A great pub that I would safely recommend to anyone. I wish I lived in London so that I could visit it more often.... More

Absolutely delighted to hear you had a great time with us Diana. Afraid I can't take any of the credit as a new baby meant I was off, but I am extremely proud of my team for their work on Christmas Day. Great to hear that others were enjoying their experience also. Many thanks for the review. Look forward to... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
