Dinner in a group of three colleagues, we were looking for a quite place and the dining downstairs room fit our need, even too quite as no other guests was there. The beer list was ok, I wasn't happy of my IPA beer at the beginning, but I liked it at the end. The burger was not outstanding at all,... More

I went to Walkers last week with work colleagues. The pub was cozy and warm and the beer was good. Service could have been a touch more responsive but overall was fine.

Friendly little bar of the main street. The bottomless brunch was a winner. Friendly staff and good food. Burger was good a date beetroot starter was immense. Sadly chip portions were poor. Worth a visit

Walkers is tucked away just off Whitehall towards the Trafalgar Square end. It is an old inn with considerable character. It's not so large in size, but being slightly away from the main drag it is quieter. My friend and I both tried the wild boar sausage and mash. It was excellent. a decent serving for lunch and perfectly balanced... More

For central London - a delightful quiet resting place. Food is good not outstanding. Service was fine and a delightful relaxing ambience. Value is good with a modest menu range.

We went in for a drink and there was one bar staff. We stood at the bar and waited patiently to be served. The girl behind the bar served four people and then walked over to serve us. When a man approached the bar and asked for a beer. My husband told the barmaid that we had waited and were... More

I have just celebrated my 60th birthday at this terrific venue - and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The location - just off Trafalgar Square - could not be bettered. The surroundings are tasteful and smart but never pretentious. It's never easy preparing food for an unknown number of people, but the chefs rose to the challenge and provided... More

For its location, I fully expected this to be another chain pub that tries to sell the 1800's Sherlock Holmes image of London to tourists, but have to say that this was a pleasant surprise. Hidden down a small side street just a stones throw from Trafalgar Square, it is a nice lounge style bar that offers a good selection... More

The best thing about this place is the service. As we are from Brazil, the communication is not so easy, but the people there was very patient and explained everything we ask the best way. The food, as the majority of restaurants I saw in London, has fairly fatty dishes.

Queridos Elias, Thank you for your review, it was an absolute pleasure to serve you. Next time you are in the area, do come in and try our salad served with charred squash, lentils and ricotta, less traditional than Fish and Chips, but also delicious. Hope you are enjoying your time in Europe, Ate Logo, Maina. More

Lounge style seating compliments a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in this restaurant/bar. We visited tired and wet after a rainy morning and the bar staff were happy to help in any way and accommodated us. With such an extensive drink menu and its brilliant service, it's hard to find fault with this contemporary London hotspot.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
