I visit this lovely little cafe with groups of friends after taking them on guided walks around the area. Jaded by the food and service in Brick Lane I discovered this little gem a few years ago. It has been in the same hands for...More

Meraz Cafe is a great find, off the main drag, unpretentious, with great food and friendly staff. I’d recommend it if you want an authentic meal away from the hustle of the guys in Brick Lane

We have been going to Meraz for over 2 years now and simply can't find a better eat-in or take-away restaurant serving this type of food! Staff are always friendly, the food is consistently outstanding and the overall experience provides great value for money, especially...More

We regularly come to Meraz (every couple of months) and are always impressed by the quality and service. We were a bit concerned that the food might change after the recent renovation but it is better than ever, and the decor is now more modern...More

Been to this place and the curry is really good so decided to order a takeaway. Ordered a chicken Bhuna, Sag Paneer, Rice, 2 x Takar Dhal starters and a Naan bread which came to £28. When we opened the containers when we got home...More

I cannot believe all the glowing reviews about this place, it was my worst eating experience of 2017. The food was bland, but not only that it was cold. It was served by a really unpleasant person, who I believe was the owner. He didn’t...More

We were down to London this weekend from Sheffield for a gig at the Troxy. We thought to search for a place to eat a good curry before the show started so searched for places that had vegan and gluten free options. We found this...More

Dont normally feedback but i thought i ought to. Food is nothing to rave about, basic cheap curries priced extortionately, the owner and new staff certainly lack customer service skills, we found the owner to be a mixed bag of being happy one second then...More

Great service and concise menu. Tandoori lamb chops are delicious. BYO drinks. Good value and authentic Bengali cuisine. Highly recommended.

The Meraz philosophy has not changed since 1974, it remains one of respect for cooking tradition, from which is born a consistency and an aversion to fads that is greatly appreciated by all. A respect for the patron's palate and comfort, innovating and striving to bring the best in service, atmosphere and presentation, and a passion for introducing Handi Cooked Foods to an ever growing audience.Unusual for Brick Lane, Meraz encourages BYOB.
