We had fish & chips and sat at the bar as there were no tables. Had some great conversations with guests and the staff and the food was terrific. We had the fish & chips - outstanding.

And every day for breakfast. The eggs Benedict is wonderful. What a fun pub. We were recently in London for 9 days and found ourselves here, having a drink, every night. Such friendly employees, great food, great drinks. Many friendships made.

Met up with friends on a late Saturday afternoon, good sign that it was really busy. Classic old pub but on trend with craft beers and gin. Didn’t eat but food looked good

2nd time to London and we had breakfast at the Standhope Arms. Probably one of the best Eggs Benedict ever. Wonderful fresh and tasty. Wife has Salmon and a poached egg, she loved it too. Great staff and a great atmosphere.

We were renting a flat nearby so this pub was our local. Like most pubs in central London, it's corporate owned and the food and drink is all standardized. Still, the staff were friendly, the food was decent by pub standard and it was clean...More

I ate here on the first night of my stay as it was just around the corner from the hotel. There is a great selection of both food and beverages. I had the fish and chips, neither were over done or drenched in grease. The...More

Travelled to Stanhope Arms to meet old friends on a weekend trip to London celebrating a wedding anniversary. Enjoyed the lunchtime match on TV, a few drinks and then the standard fish and chips, (there is also a large version). All as you might expect,...More

Great fish and chips are served in this very crowded and not very large pub. Be warned, if you order a starter it will be served at the same time as your main course. You order at the bar, take your drinks back to your...More

A great pub with not to loud music! Soo great to meat up for a chat?! Reasonable prices with super fast service! The only disappointing thing is the outside.... Very small area with people passing by your table.... Next to bus stop ✋

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

I saw children there when we went just not seated at the bar itself.
