General consensus was good curry but sadly hugely overshadowed by the most unfriendly, unaccommodating staff. We were the only table in the restaurant and one of our party was running late so we asked to order starters but were told we weren't allowed to order...More

Appalling service received by my friends and I tonight. First we were encouraged to get a takeaway rather than eat in. We were also rushed and told we had to order mains (which we were going to do anyway). Once we expressed our dissatisfaction they...More

Rude waiter. Tastless food. Very dirty toilet without toilet paper. I recommend you to avoid this place.

Five of us ordered £90 worth of food, were brusquely told we had not ordered enough and compared with other customers who had spent more. We were told to eat quickly and leave! Rude, rude, rude. The food was edible but who cares. Go somewhere...More

We ordered a takeaway about a year ago when we moved into the area- three of us ordered the chicken tandoori and the next day all three of us were very ill. This weekend we decided to give it another go, thinking that surely that...More

Visited the Kennington Tandoori as a group of five looking to have dinner. The staff were incredibly rude and made up ridiculous rules regarding how we were permitted to dine. My friend was pushed into ordering far more food than she could manage - when...More

This is the only Indian meal that I have had that was devoid of taste. It looked like chicken Tikka, it smelled like Chicken Tikka but certainly didn't taste like any Chicken Tikka I have ever ate before. Myself and a colleague couldn't get out...More

Ordered via the Internet off a very restricted menu. No choice of ordinary curry as Madras, korma etc. I chose tikka masala mainly because it was being served sans bell peppers ( which for some strange and very irritating reason is how many places are...More

I live in Kennington & I'm very supportive of a local business if its any good. However the KT is rubbish. They charge £45 per person for a breakfast which is ridiculous, especially as the food is average! The Avocado came in cold cubes that...More

Really...? Edward, you should come and see me, I have a copy of your wife’s bill here - lunch for two with two main dishes including a lamb shank for £42.19 including drinks and service. That’s £21.09 each, not the £45 per head breakfast you...More

I was excited about trying this place but the overall experience was disappointing, especially when the eventual bill was north of £100. We opted for the £30 set menu, which confusingly lists a gin and tonic as part of the deal with only the sharp...More

The dining room at Kennington Tandoori is an elegant space dressed in lemon, plum and chocolate colours. Located on Kennington Road, this south London restaurant draws a local crowd and is always bustling with a lively mix of tables for two, business groups and politicians. The food is the real star of the show here, and the kitchen staff at Kennington Tandoori pay attention to detail - roasting and grinding all their own spices and making up all their own fresh stocks in-house. The menu – which is filled with classics such as the chicken tikka cooked with almonds, pistachios and coconut cream in a saffron sauce – is complimented by a bespoke wine list created by Caspar Auchterlonie.
