We ate at this fantastic restaurant as a 16th bday treat for my eldest daughter. Not our usual standard of restaurant or price range but we all hoped it would live up to its great reputation and price tag. In terms of price we had...More

We visited group to celebrate January birthdays. It was my husbands first visit to a restaurant if this type. The food was very good, we had the menu du chef. What let it down slightly was the service. The waiter leant across my husband whilst...More

The restaurant itself is very nice looking, we were welcomed by the staff and shown to our table. My husband booked for the tasting menu as a treat as we haven’t had the luxury of eating out for a while. We asked for the drinks...More

This converted school church still resembles being in a holy place, with the lighting and the design making it seem almost sacred. The Galvin brothers have made a great success of this restaurant and it's no wonder. It's just a great place to be and...More

Fine meal and excellent service. I quite liked the interior design. They have successfully converted a Grade II Victorian mansion-cum-school into a stylish eatery swapping all that oppressive pomp for simplicity in an attractive steel-vaulted chamber. The food was fine dining, but only just; it...More

Atmosphere splendid and not too noisy despite location in a rather large church, where a lot of money has been spent on refurbishment. Definitely “a wow factor”. Staff attentive and very service minded. Starters right up there. Crab lasagne and tuna tartare superb. Halibut as...More

We had the 6 course tasting Menu Gourmand which they adapted for me as I don’t eat meat or shellfish. The food was sublime, the presentation exquisite and the service and surroundings as always second to none. A class act.

I am writing, after my last visit /Dec/10th/2017/ in order to share my opinion, regarding the reservation, already used. My expectations for repeating delight were in vain. I've already dined in La Chapelle. Each and every time, when I have the possibility, which means when...More

Hi Wendy, yes that would be absolutely fine to wear smart jeans. The dress code at La Chapelle is 'smart casual'.

Description
The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.
