This place is very nice and welcoming. The food looks homemade which is really good. Plates were generous and tasty. If you are around Elephant and Castle, I recommand this place for a quick, generous and nice meal.

My wife, son and I enjoyed our dinner here so much, that the next day, when we needed a place to meet for dinner (we had gone off to do different things), we wound up eating here again. The food was super (stuffed pepper, schabowy, fish and chips) and the staff was very nice.

We had never tried Polish food before and as we were going to an early show nearby this seemed opportune. The waitress was extremely helpful and explained the process. You order at the bar, go to a table and pick it up from the kitchen when your number comes up. We had perogi croquettes which were pleasant and something I... More

Fancied some polish food while visiting London. Came highly recommended on trip advisor. It's in a great location just beside the elephant and castle station. Restaurant was well laid out lots of space and had a great atmosphere. Staff were helpful and friendly. The polish dumplings are to die for. Overall all this place is good value for money and... Like the Italian, Greeks Indians and Bengalis before them the Polish have bought their cuisine to London . Not wishing to disrespect, pasta, Mousaka, or a curry, this was a great find. The food is tasty filing and wholesome, the best advice is to go for the proper Polish dishes, there are options for all it is not just Bigos... More

It's Polish, and it's hearty, and it's good. I was homesick for my Mom's Pierogi and these ones are damned close. Great vodka, great atmosphere, Saturday night and the place was jumping. So no, it's not the pinnacle of haute cuisine - and if this is what you were looking for, you'd better go someplace else. Bring a few friends,... More

Our pierogi were "damned close" to your Mom's? Awesome!!! Thanks for that; it's the best recommendation we could ask for. And thanks for the rest of the review as well. We think you nailed it. Hope to see you again soon! More

Second time I've eaten here. Food is cheap for London, good range of Polish beer. Best for meat lovers although they do offer one vegan dish and one vegetarian. Rich, hearty filling food in friendly casual atmosphere.

Thanks Alastair! Hope to see you back here soon. Just one note - we do have more than one vegetarian dish. But you may have difficulty seeing it, given all the massive meat portions in the way! We'll keep the beers cold... Cheers! More

I don't like to write negative reviews, but this experience made me sad, so I can't help it. Started with some inappropriate jokes from the host : "ohh you guys first time here, so you are Mamushka Virgins!" (we were there as a couple). Not great seating. Some of the tables joined, so you can end up seating next to... More

Hi Janny K. We are really sorry you did not enjoy your visit. That "Mamuśka! virgin" line normally brings a smile and leads us to tell people how the restaurant works (where to order, where tot pick up food, etc) but I am sincerely sorry that I caused offence. A lot of our seating is at large home-style tables that... More

went for a family meal 2 adults, a 9 year old and a 5 year old, couldn't fault a thing, food was excellent, the staff very helpful, the set up brilliant so laid back and friendly , we went back the next day for breakfast, which again was phenomenal, if this place wasn't 200 miles away from us, we would... Some people just refuse to make a proper effort to get to their favourite restaurant. Come ON Jayne!!! It's only 200 miles!?!? What's the issue? ; ) Thank you so much for the review and we hope to see you the next time you are in town. Cheers! Ian Coll More

Great breakfasts (ironically including a decent full English), value for money lunch deals and of course choice of a la carte dishes from delicious soups and pierogis to stews and cutlets. With friendly staff and a great selection of beers and vodkas this is a nice place for hanging out with friends. Certainly not just for Poles.

Thanks Miguel! So glad you are enjoying the place. And thank you for pointing out 2 massive facts: 1) A great full English Breakfast (with a fresh plump Cumberland sausage from Smithfields) and 2) We are not just for Poles. I think we should get you to start posting "facts of the day about Mamuśka!" for us! Thanks again, Ian... More
