I should have looked more closely at the menu before booking here but I had heard that it was a good destination for food. The vegetarian options were unimaginative, samey & certainly not worth the money. The chef that devised the menu must have thought...More

Went there on a Saturday night for dinner at the upstairs restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and very attentive and polite service. Food was average. My main course which was linguine with Cod was very bland and without character.

Booked a table in the morning, arrived on time, they were expecting us (always a bonus) and showed us (for four) to a nice corner table. Menu's already in place, first drinks order from the bar arrived in timely fashion, including artisan beers. Menu order...More

Menu is limited but what it does it does well. Staff were friendly and the price reasonable by London standards. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or go back.

Absolutely awful! Visited The Princess of Shoreditch on the basis of great recommendations and also the reviews all over the internet, however it extremely disappointed me. We ordered our bottle of House Red Wine (the only good thing about the experience), and after went straight...More

This is a cosy restaurant, and the food is quite good. Unfortunately, the service was shockingly unfriendly. The server seemed pained to have to take our order, shook a bottle of beer to see if it was empty and needed to be cleared, and then...More

We had our staff Christmas party here. Three courses £45. Service good but the food lacking authenticity and flavour. It was a traditional Christmas menu - the turkey wasn’t off the bone, very few vegetables - portion very small. Christmas pudding again not home made....More

Went here for a roast dinner on Sunday. We made a booking for 12, and turned up at 20 to 12, not realising it didn't open until 12. The staff had finished setting up and were sitting around doing nothing. They could clearly see we...More

The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is
a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be

along with an ever increasing variety of shops,
hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore
this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood.
