We visited this little gem twice during our short stay in Kensington. Great pizza, baguettes, and desserts. Price was comparable, if not a bit less, than other places in the neighborhood. Courteous staff, and quick service.

Went here for breakfast but it was really bad, eggs were overcooked and tasteless, toast was pale and floppy, I paied 80p for a slice of tomato with the green in the middle. Would not recommend anyone to eat here. I'd rather go to Burger King across the road. Service was lacking. Sorry but this was not a good start... More

Visited with my family for a quick breakfast before sightseeing. The croissants are amazing & you get a free one when you order a coffee! Ham & cheese croissant was very tasty. Would come again.

Arrived in this shabby looking establishment 11:50. Since the staff didn't come to our table for 15 minutes. We decided to go to the counter and asked when we would be served. They do not serve at table apparently. Okay now that was sorted we wanted to order a breakfast product which they serve till 12:00. So the response was... More

Seems bustling, local and not a chain. So a lot going for it. But Sunday breakfast was poor service. Had to chase for our order. Rubbish sliced bread, very, very salty bacon that had been kept warm for a while. Really great freshly squeezed orange juice.

This is a ok cafe serving average food, however the staff are very unfriendly and unwelcoming. They have no sense of customer service, my husband says he is scarred by the rudeness of the staff and has never encountered anything like it before.

First time back here after a long absence. Ordered scrambled egg on toast & bacon. The egg was a mass of pieces of hardened egg - like a chopped up omelette - more massacred than scrambled. The toast was on the side so I could at least eat that. The bacon was plain weird & I have no idea how... More

Had a full English here and it was really good quality stuff. I have coffee with breaksfasts and the standard was quite high. A free croissant came with it so I was well stuffed. The staff were very friendly and efficient and prices reasonable. A good local crowd gets in so that's a good sign.

Found this place just down from my hotel. Surrounded by normal fare of Cafe Nero, Nando's, Starbucks etc. Just wanted somewhere no fuss where I could grab some Dinner. The staff were very nice and accommodating to this tired, grumpy, old man. Had a good bowl of roasted veg and a large coffee for about £7 outstanding value in Kensington.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
