The food and drink are as extravagant as the bill that follows. The grand entrance, into this glass roofed restaurant is spectacular and so is the food you can indulge in. The shame is the overvalued prices mixed with the erratic service. A mixed experience.

Overpriced food and poor service - slow and barely polite. In spite of the lovely location, not pleasant at all. The portions are tiny and the setting is beautiful but very noisy. Free wifi in theory but not working. Second time there and there won't be a third for me. With Baker Street and its many food options a short... More

Beautiful setting. Should have been a wonderful experience but the service was absolutely terrible. We waited for 15 minutes and had to ask twice to get a coffee. It felt like the waiting staff were deliberately ignoring us. And the waitress we asked for the bill would not make eye contact. We went there for lunch but gave up and... More

Very upmarket museum restaurant in a lovely setting at The Wallace Collection. The central atrium setting is delightful, decorated in gorgeous pastel pink and lovely trees to create an outdoor ambience. The tables are set reasonably far apart. Lovely menu, with beautifully prepared and displayed dishes. But the service is shambolic - a complete disconnect between the staff taking the... More

A table was booked for 8 of us at 2 pm. We were early and able to take our seats but told the service would be slow until our booked time. We were given water but then left for the next 35minutes. Would have been good to have been offered another drink. When we asked for the menu the women... More

We were a group of 4. Each of us opted for the set menu and chose the soup followed by the poussin. One of us had another main, mushrooms with polenta. Soup was Celeriac and Bramley apple. It was excellent and enjoyed by all of us. Roast poussin was less successful but a pleasant dish. The vegetables did not inspire.... More

The only opportunity in the museum for a bite is this Peyton and Byrne run restaurant. It's a classy place and not cheap but the food is delicious and the staff is really good. So treat yourself and enjoy!

Service poor-food average for a venue like this-not cheap-why would you bother unless you are an art fanatic!

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
