Special Sunday lunch with friends from work. First Class service in a relaxed atmosphere by charming and attentive staff. Food was delicious, plenty of choice on the menu settled for the Roast Beef which came with miniature brass pots filled with crispy roast potatoes ,cabbage and giant Yorkshire pudding. Sweet was a lime mousse which was so incredibly light with... More

Dined here recently and was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience. We warmed up with a couple of glasses of Ayala Goring Cuvée, then into fresh English asparagus with a confit egg yolk, and warm Lytham shrimps in a slightly curried sauce. Fantastic. Mains was an "individual" beef Wellington which it was impossible to fault. Desserts were a selection of... More

Located only a four or five minute stroll from Buckingham Palace and visited for a celebratory lunch after an Investiture which seemed to be why most people were there on the day we visited as it was quite busy. The choice when planning the day was either to go for lunch or to a good hotel for afternoon tea. Really... More

We enjoyed a very special evening in this elegant classic hotel. We started with excellent cocktails in the beautifully furnished lounge, we chose from the menu then we were taken in to our table, everything was of the best quality and so stylish, we thought all our dishes were perfect, Salt Marsh lamb, the famous lobster omelette, even the petit... The room has been wonderfully renovated, and it is a lovely setting for a meal. The crystal flower chandeliers and other touches give it a modern, clean update while retaining the traditional British feel. The Staff was polite and very professional at every meal.

The dining room has a very tasteful decoration combining its classic architecture with traditional silverware and contemporary interiors. The food was prepared beautifully and the chef has a contemporary style. We had breakfast served in the restaurant each morning and the attention to detail was impressive. If you enjoy a traditional and elegant setting you won't be disappointed.

Lunch at the Goring was superb. Hereford beef tartare as a starter, lobster omelette with chips and a lobster Caesar salad, followed by fig trifle. My partner enjoyed a watercress support with mackerel tartare and an unforgettable rice pudding, as well,as the lobster omelette. The staff were friendly and professional and, despite a busy dining room, the atmosphere was relaxed.

The ambience of The Dining Room is second to none allowing easy conversation, without being on top of other tables. The tables and staff were both immaculately dressed in a very relaxed atmosphere. One felt immediately at ease in this refined location. There were however, elements which reduced the overall satisfaction of the occasion. With regard to the food, the... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
