Now having been to a few places in London the other day, we happened to finish in and around the Notting Hill Area, so we fancied a Cup of tea as, it was early afternoon, and coffee just wasn't hitting the spot, so after standing in a queue for about 10mins next a person who just walked in got served,... Visited as couple and were pleasantly surprised. We grabbed one of each sandwich (they were mini's) plus a salad and shared. Coffee was one of the best I've had! Staff service was a bit slow potentially because they were so busy, but food came hot and toasty! Definitely recommend!!

Just visited for a quick lunch. The place was fairly busy, but there was no smile from the staff. The team seemed to have no interest in customers. Service was confused too. Just a young blonde lady ( supervisor ?? ) and dark hair chap seemed to do something about it. Good food and fine coffee though....

Gail's was just around the corner from the apartment we were staying in. Not sure who Gail is but Gail is a cookbook author ( on sale at the shop). We had a couple of breakfasts and lunches there. Friendly staff. My favourite was the vegetarian sausage roll. Absolutely delicious. I was tempted to buy the cookbook just incase it... More

Just eaten the most delicious toastie of my long and, until now, deprived life. Ham and Gruyere on Dark French Sourdough with mustard butter. I don't think it could have better. Legendary bakery. I think I'll stay here until I can manage another

What a wonderful little cafe! Don't miss it. The best coffee we had in London. Amazing cafe mocha and latte. Wonderful sausage rolls, and hot cross buns. Cookies to die for.

Great food, a lot of choice and lovely coffee But the staff are very slow and if you have plans better to prepare your day when you go there. Hopefully they will improve 👍

You have to hand it to Gail's. Since Gail herself left the business and Doron & Co took over, the group has expanded and offers, both day-to-day and across its branches a consistent product for all to enjoy. The prices used to seem extortionate, but many others charge almost the same and don't have this quality. Eat in if you... More

Visiting with friends whilst in London for a few days we found this place on portobello road. The coffee was lovely and the carrot cake was to die for. My friend had a cheese straw and a cookie and said they were the best ever tasted. Deffinately worth a visit

Don't bother - this place is filthy - not a clean table in sight. Staff rude and obnoxious and everything is too much of an effort for them. Plenty of superior places in the local area.

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
