Had a lovely lunch here - I tried ox cheek for the first time, was very impressed. Friendly, helpful staff and reasonable prices for Kensington. Great relaxed atmosphere for hanging out.

We were a party of four adults and two children, booked for a late Mother's Day lunch. First impressions were good, a pretty full dining room, filled with a buzz of happy conversation. Then we met our waitress, whom I would describe as cheerfully awful....More

Really liked the look of the menu, quite eclectic but tasted really nice. Started with the salt marsh lamb followed by the pork belly with treacle. They were busy and the service was slow. I was not bothered as I was in no rush and...More

Honestly the food here is so good. Had the bork belly with treacle and enjoyed every bite. I think this place isn't pretentious as well. Really comfortable atmosphere. One thing is that the largest wine by the glass is 125ml which is normally a small...More

Bumpkins was suggested by our hotel concierge and we weren’t disappointed in the least! I enjoyed the cod and my wife had Mac-n-cheese. And for a starter, we ordered a salmon app. The Atmosphere was lively yet intimate for a weekend night. We didn't have...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

I don't remember if we made reservations or not, but I try to keep GF (non Celiac) and I ate there without issue. I can't remember if they had a specific GF menu or if I just picked something that was GF. Hope this helps.

Bumpkin restaurant is a new thing, a country-in-the-city organic eatery thats opened its doors on the Old Brompton Road in Londons South Kensington. Bustling with an art-collecting, sports-jacket-wearing local crowd, Bumpkin is a warm and cosy restaurant that has been decorated with farmhouse-chic furniture and eclectically upholstered chairs to relax in while you watch the chefs create their magic in the open-plan kitchen. The classic British cuisine revolves around the availability of fresh market ingredients, so the menu at Bumpkin changes frequently with sumptuous daily special as well. Apart from olive oil, all the ingredients on Bumpkins menu are one hundred percent British. Signature dishes include a variety of organic pies, gourmet salads and grilled fish accompanied by an excellent selection of wines, ciders and real British ales. We love this local gem, and it's an ideal spot for post-shopping salads, Sunday roasts and Bloody Marys, and organic on-the-run snacks.
