I went with my wife for the star menu (3 courses and glass of prosecco for £30). We had a lovely table looking out over the Thames and the Oxo Tower. The wake from passing boats made it feels as if you were at sea. A great setting for a romantic meal - we got there before the sun set... More

We booked for afternoon tea pre-London marathon and were much looking forward to it. The setting is idyllic and the afternoon should have been perfect but in the event it was spoiled by a lack of service. Arriving on time our table wasn't quite ready, which was fair enough but after we were seated we then had to wait another... More

I went with my boyfriend for the star menu (3 courses and glass of prosecco for £30). We had a lovely table looking out over the London eye. The waitress was so friendly and were helpful with food options. She gave a menu with the included options and then there were options for other dishes which were at additional cost.... More

Perfect views sitting next to the water and lovely environment for an evening meal. Staff were friendly and service was excellent. Feels like your afloat too with the motion of the boat bobbing up and down on the water which added to the ambience. Good sized food portions. Really enjoyed the experience.

I had booked a deal on groupon to visit for a Sunday lunch with my partner for £24, which is very reasonable. The boat itself was lovely with a nice view. We are both vegetarians and ordered the vegetarian loaf. When our food came, we did not get a vegetarian loaf, we got a vegetable pastry. When I asked about... More

We had a roast lunch for two which was well cooked especially the beef and roast potatoes. Quite expensive but worth it as you are on the Thames with good views.

This was a much anticipated first visit to the Yacht. As always, I was accompanied by the beautiful one. The pictures had looked stunning and we weren't disappointed with the surroundings - most pristine and elegant. A choice of seats was offered, naturally we chose right by the window overlooking the river. As night descended the views, inluding my partner,... More

Booked through book a table where we got 3 courses for £33 each. Arrived bang on time and went onto the lovely looking yacht moored up along victoria embankment. Lovely young waiter asked for our name and checked his booking list. We were not on it! No problem he said and gave us a choice of tables right next to... More

Description
Moored on the Thames close to the city's most famous landmarks, The Yacht London has earned its exclusive status as 'Mayfair of the river'. Crisp cosmopolitan design features expanses of brushed silver, whilst glass surroundings offer uninterrupted views across the water. The Yacht, originally the St Katharine, 130ft in length with a 26ft beam, was commissioned by the Port of London Authority in 1927 from Philip and Son Ltd of Dartmouth for the princely sum of £21,512. She was employed on survey and inspection work until the outbreak of war in 1939 when she was taken over by the Admiralty. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Yacht in 1949 and then again 10 years later. Sir Winston Churchill smoked one of his famous cigars of the stern of the top deck, the site of our new Martell Cigar Lounge. In 1971 the St Katharine was sold to Robins (Marine) Ltd to be used as a floating restaurant and she has now been carefully restored in close consultation with English Heritage and PLA Archivists to bring her back to her former glory, retaining many original features of the Art Deco era with a twist of contemporary design.
