The food was good and the service was nice. However, 4 waiters behind me (where the till was) have spent a long time being silly, making jokes and pranks to one another and being very loud. Moreover there was a group of other people using their phones to watch music videos at loud volume, and no-one told them anything. I... More

Just ate a great bento box in Cocochan. I had the seafood and my partner the meat. Everything super tasty and quite substantial- we'll be back!

Great sushi - their special of yellowfin roll with truffle was superb! Crispy duck salad also has a hit.

Cocochan catered to the needs of my group booking. The waiters were all lovely, and Tamara who I initially dealt with also guided me through each process and gave me several options for the evening. The food was lovely, all my friends spoke about how good the black cod was. And my deposit was also refunded as advised by the... More

This restaurant is well located for high street shoppers. It has a very interesting menu (halal) and set in a peaceful ambiance amidst the busking shops outside. The beef tataki is a must!

We were instantly seated outside, the heaters made it very comfortable during a chilly summer evening. We started off with some steamed edamame beans (ask them to add some butter - trust me) and a bottle of gruner veltliner, very tasty but unfortunately served a bit warm. We ordered the duck and watermelon salad which was definitely the highlight of... More

This nice restaurant it's in a very convenient position if you are around for shopping in Oxford street or for tourism - it's less than 5 minutes by walk from Selfridges. The place itself is not very big, but we never struggled to find a table. Good quality food, even thought the prices are "central London prices". Staff is very... More

Returned to this sushi/Japanese fusion place right off Oxford Street for lunch in the shopping craze of a Saturday not long before Xmas, and proved to be even better than last time! Excellent service from an attentive waiter who spotted our immediate need (drinks) and then followed up with very good recommendations for the food. Proved to be very tasty.... More

My friends took me here for a birthday lunch. Very nice service and food but as other reviewers have mentioned the portion sizes were ridiculously small. Dim sum and mains, and believe me I'm not an over eater and neither are my friends but for the extortionate price you're paying you expect more food. I will come back but perhaps... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
