My husband and I went to Pollen Street for a special occasion and had one the most fun meals we have had in a very very long time. We both had the tasting menu with wine flight, all the food was delicious and cleverly thought out so each dish followed the next perfectly. The team at Pollen Street were all... More

Perfect venue for a big-birthday celebration. Reputation is well deserved. The taster menu was delicious and entertaining, the matched wines were exactly that. Well done!

A fantastic restaurant in London! All courses in the degustation are very well thought out and so creative! One of the stages 'the game' was interactive and a bit of fun between courses. Would definitely visit again!

We decided to go for the 9-course tasting menu which was ambitious! The petit fours were beautifully done - really did taste like afternoon tea - and the fish and chips was clever too followed by a mushroom broth which was yummy, The Fruits of the British Sea was nice but I wasn't taken by the oyster ice cream i'm... Now it's true I wasn't paying the bill but did keep a watchful eye on the prices. Yes expensive but unlike a number of the higher priced restaurants you leave feeling you have really got your money's worth in terms of quality and quantity. Eating here is an experience suitable for business and more personal diners. The food is original... More

Was expecting a lot. Petit fours were ok. Bread tasty. Mushroom broth delicious. Butter tasted a bit cheesy. Went for the 6 course tasting menu with the cheapest 'wine flight'. The fruits of the British Sea course was pretty poor. Oyster ice cream was unpleasant (only to be beaten later in the meal), crab and caviar was ok and the... More

Generally very good cooking with many amuse-bouches between courses (don't overfill on the excellent bread like I did), some a hit, some a miss. Dessert cocktail pairings are also well worth a try, and the excellent desserts, which included the best soufflé I've ever had, were the highlight. Service was friendly, although we often struggled to hear and understand the... More

My visit to pollen street social involved eating some of the best food I have ever sampled, amuse bouchés which were so good you couldn't imagine what the main dishes would taste like! The tasting menu was priced fairly for the offering and my favourite part of the evening was when we were brought a box with 6 sections each... More

My husband took me here for my birthday. It was my first time at a Michelin star restaurant and it certainly did not disappoint. I'm vegetarian and was provided with a whole vegetarian menu! I was not expecting hours d'oevres, amuse bouche, pre-dessert and petit fours. Everything was exceptional and I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone, vegetarian or... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
