Have to admit, we were initially tempted in on a Friday night by the chalk board sign outside, advertising Live Rugby the next morning. Called in to get some details and ended up staying for several drinks. Found the staff friendly and very hard working,...More

Friendly pub with excellent real ales and wholesome pub meals. The fish & chips particularly tasty. Hadn't known it was there - will go again soon.

Came here for a few pints having tried some other watering holes nearby. Not very busy on a Sunday evening but still had a nice atmosphere and feel about it. Seemed popular with tourists. Well worth a visit.

Relatively quiet but breakfast took a while and then it arrived barely cooked or warm. We would have sent it back if we had, had more time before our train. The scrambled egg was rubber; the bacon plastic and cold. Wasn't worth £10.

Everything you need while waiting for friends. Food was fine and you don't get chased out. Plenty of room for suitcases by the entrance.
