If you looking for authentic Mauritian food this is the place. Friendly staff and good ambience. The food tastes like home made traditional food.

I was craving for Mauritian style noodles (mine frire) and really enjoyed it. All the food ordered were nice and tasty. And affordable. Had 'gato pigment', du pain frire, catless, samosa.. all were nice. And pearona.. would definitely visit again soon

Le Chamarel is a cafe not a restaurant. We went for lunch on Sunday being the 49th Independence Day of Mauritius and there were no celebrations at all. The place is very small and we were seated to a small where we could hardly fit in. The food was average, I only enjoyed the dhol puri and roti. The mains,... More

This little restaurant is amazing!! Made me discover Mauritius food, so much flavour!! The home made tamarind juice is very nice! The starters are amazing, the main course are very good and for the price we paid it was definitely better than many other places!! We got greedy with dessert and ordered 3. My favourite is the cassava pudding !!... More

I have been living in this area since 2009 and I regret I have not eaten at this restaurant before. One of my friends recommended (Mauritian) this restaurant last week. I am Turkish and we are surrounded by Turkish restaurants in Haringey. This is a good place to try something different. We had different snacks and 2 different main course.... More

The food was excellent and the price was the icing on the cake. It was the best meal we, as a family, had in the 5 days spent in London, and we ate out for lunch and dinner at places recommended, which were very disappointing, and overpriced.
