The food was good but the atmosphere was somewhat lacking. My family and I all ordered fish dishes, all of which were delicious! Although the food was good, the atmosphere of the place was not to my liking. Unfortunately , it was rather crowded and cramped which led to an impression of being rather dirty. Other than that, it was... More

Fancied Fish and Chips. Seems like there is no better place. Excellent service, reasonable price. Great fish and chips. Full marks. As I work nearby I will be going again.

We tried the cod+chips and the allday breakfast. Both of them were freshly made and had good taste, especially the fish! I loved the potato too! Must try coleslaw.

Delicious food, large portions, very nice staff, fast service. We've ordered a haddock & chips. Near Victoria Station. Bathroom could be better.

A nice fish and chip shop, would recommend for your traditional chippy. We had cod chips and mushy peas. The dish was nice and fresh with a light crispy batter, the chips where real chips and where also very good. I went for the regular size cod and chips I am a big eater and it filled me up. Give... On recommendation from a friend, I dropped in for an evening meal. This is a traditional eat-in or take-out British chippy. Decor is simple, tables tightly packed, but you'll not be in there for long enough for it to matter. I went for traditional cod and chips, which was delivered in the time it took to plate it up. Portions... More

I call in regularly as do various acquaintances and family . The consensus is it's a very good chippy they do the little touches like mushy peas that some London chippies do not keep . Fish is always good , I find I like fish and chips more in the winter than summer but this place has been good over... More

If you want the authentic chippy experience, you can't do better than the Laughing Halibut. Delicious chips, cooked to perfection, crispy batter on the fish, generous portions and reasonable prices. You can eat in (at old-fashioned fixed tables with assorted condiment pots in a wire holder at one end) or take away. Just don't go too late - it closes... More

This little shop was the perfect place to get fish and chips when we arrived in London. It didn't seem too touristy and we saw many locals eating here. My daughter appreciates fish much more than I do, and she thought it was delicious!

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
