We went for lunch on Sunday but decided to try steaks from the dinner menu. The accompaniments were excellent but one steak, at least, was rarer and less charred than had been hoped for. The salad appetiser was excellent too. It is a relatively small restaurant and though the musical duet might have been just what some might have hoped... More

A strange phrase but that's how we feel when we visit Cut. The Cut team are probably the best hosts ever, making you feel so welcome , cared for in an unobtrusive yet warm way. This service never diminishes from cocktails to dinner , quite amazing. Our party of nine arrived and headed for cocktails at the outstanding bar where... More

We arrived on time for our reservation but we were kept waiting for almost 30 mins. Although that wasn't the best start to our meal, the food compensated for all of that. The Wagyu steak is out of this world. Service is outstanding.

This is a sumptuous stylish restaurant with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, fine dining without being pretentious, although not a huge menu there was sufficient choice, the steak was melt in the mouth perfect, the food definitely exceeded our expectations and the service was faultless but unintrusive. The sommelier guided us through the enormous wine list, very cleverly being able... More

The meat is outstanding but other dishes (I had seafood) are just as good. We had a fantastic service and the sommelier was extremly knowledgeable and gave us some great wine advise. They were very vigilant about my husband's allergies and took them very seriously. We can only recommend the place. It's expensive but worth it.

My daughter and I had a very enjoyable lunch at CUT. The steak was flavorful and tender and the jumbo shrimp were delicious. Topping everything off, we enjoyed the miniature baked Alaska. It was heavenly!

Came here for dinner over the Easter weekend. Had saved up to come here and it didnt disappoint. We were treated like royalty from the minute we arrived. We had some delicious amouse bouche and followed by an amazing main and a chocolate souffle to die for. A most delicious and buttery ribeye that melted in your mouth. Best steak... More

I booked this for a birthday lunch for my other half - somewhere suitably relaxed but slightly more special and with a good mix of food options. It certainly lived up to these expectations, and the food was delicious. The special touch of a deconstructed Eton Mess with a candle - which was not requested - for the birthday treat... More

I went for a business dinner . Starters of crab . Tuna and pork belly were very good. usda steak was far to sweet. No comparison to hawksmoor. Australian steak was ridiculous money. £200!!! 150 ahead without wine is just to expensive. That's fat duck money! I'll stick to Goodman or hawksmoor in future. Worth a visit for a special... More

In September 2011, world-renowned chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck made his restaurant debut in Europe opening CUT at 45 Park Lane, a modern American steak restaurant featuring great food in a contemporary and dynamic environment. Located in Dorchester Collection's Mayfair hotel, CUT at 45 Park Lane mirrors the award-winning original CUT in Beverly Hills offering outstanding steaks, a superb wine list and impeccable service. From prime dry and wet aged beef to salads, and succulent pan-roasted lobster, sauteed and roasted whole fresh fish, the menu provides wide appeal. A carefully crafted wine list complements the menu with distinct international selections. The restaurant occupies the ground floor with seating for 70 guests, while a striking central staircase leads to the first floor featuring a library and Bar 45, with bar-dining for 30.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
