We stumbled over this quaint little Italian restaurant and decided to eat here. The restaurant is small, maybe 12 tables, but outside dining was available. We got a table straight away, there was four of us in total. Got the feeling it was a family run business, what a wonderful atmosphere, felt like we where in Italy itself. Staff where... More

we arrived on a very cold evening after doing the tourist thing all day, hungry and footsore. You know what it's like, no-one makes eye contact with you on the tube, never mind saying hi, so a friendly face was v welcome. Bread, oil and olives were brought to our table immediately whilst we perused the menu - fresh and... More

My husband and I went for a quick dinner last night: the staff was really welcoming and attentive. We both had pizza and it was really tasty, both the dough and the toppings. Tiramisu was also very good. Traditional and honest food with friendly service. We will probably stop by again if we are in the area

The food here is really not great (tinned tomatoes with defrosted meatballs on pasta. Zero flavour!) and nor is it reasonably priced. A main meat course for £25?! That's actually more expensive than The Wolseley. There are many better places nearby you should go to spend your money.

We have been for a quick lunch and took the lunch menu (12 pounds for two courses). It was very good (I recommend the carbonara). The staff was very friendly.

I went in for a quick bite, but the atmosphere and the food was so great that I ate a full meal. The people visiting seemed in many ways to be regulars and the service behaved like it was a family business. Definately worth a revisit!

Such a nice place! Me and my friend visited here for dinner in the summer. Waiters were so friendly and chatty. Not one of those typical chain restaurants. Great food!

This was an impromptu visit and we were not disappointed! Staff were fantastic and very friendly. The spaghetti bolognese was delicious and the food seemed very authentic. Would 100% recommend.

Been there for a dinner with friends on a Sunday night. It was great to have a menu offer for 14£ that include a pizza and a starter. The thing is drinks are very expensive, especially the alcoholic ones. Service charge as well very pricey. Although good atmosphere, very old Italian style. Pizza was very good. Lots of choices for... More

The minestrone soup was full of vegetables but seemed to lack the flavour I was expecting. The pizza was very good, nothing to complain about.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
