I had no idea what to expect when I arrived and was very pleased with the ambience of the restaurant. I had never ordered steak per 100g before however the waiter was excellent and really helped us get the best out of our meal. we had two steaks between us (5) and they were both unbelievable as were all the... First visit for me here. Place was very quite on a Good Friday, got busier. The greeting staff did not make you feel very welcome. The waiting staff were miserable and seemed like they didn't want to be there. Had the full English breakfast, arrived very quick, which is always a worry. Presentation was wonderful, taste was great, however, it... More

If you are exploring the City of London, Bread Street Kitchen is the perfect place to go for great wine and great food - all in a beautifully interior designed setting. As I work nearby, I find it perfect for business breakfasts and lunches.

we decided to have our family get together at Bread Street Kitchen and what a good choice we made!! The entrance is like a open area, comes very handy for handing over the coats and bags and stuff (especially if you are a group of 10 people like us - most of us coming from work). The restaurant itself is... More

Had a really nice dinner, terrific steaks, great martinis and really good service. Not a place to go if you are in a hurry because it takes a bit for the food to come out but it's worth the wait as all our meals were cooked perfectly. Besides, it just gives you th opportunity to enjoy another excellent cocktail. We... More

We were greeted by a smiling face and asked if we'd like a drink at the bar while we waited for our table...all good so far. However, they then seemed to forget about us and our drinks until the table was ready! Once upstairs, the service got slightly better, but it wasn't amazing. The food, however, was lovely and the... Bread Street Kitchen is my 'go to' restaurant when going out in the city near work. The food is really good - it's not a huge menu and they change it infrequently, but as a result they do it all really well. My favourite is the cod. And the desserts are delicious. The breakfast menu is also pretty good. They... More

Was here as a group and food was excellent. Food served at a good pace. Not rushed so made for a pleasant evening. Tuna to start with was very enjoyable. Visited on a Wednesday evening so imagine not as hectic as the weekend.

The Bread Street Kitchen isn't cheap, but if you want a treat then this is a great place to go to enjoy some really good food. Somehow this place achieves a clever mix between between simplicity (in many ways it is simple good food) and sophistication (pretty much high end dining at a celebrity chef's restaurant). Will hopefully be back... More

I had a nice little birthday breakfast here. It's a beautiful restaurant , cool decor and attentive staff! However on the other side you wouldn't expect from a Gordon Ramsay Group restaurant to tell you "sorry we can't serve you that as it's out of stock" at a not so busy breakfast service..

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
