This place does good malaysian style food to western tastes. Price is reasonable and portion sizes are decent. Would recommend for lunch or informal dinner.

Could you tell me where has this restaurant moved to? Or has it been closed down for good? I would be grateful if someone can advise this.

I always eat from this restaurant. All the dishes are amazing. I would recommend the chicken curry, the prawn curry, the chicken rice and char kway teow. The only bad thing is it is expensive.

We rang up to order some takeaways from Sedap but the voicemail informed us that this place is closed. Does anyone know if they have relocated somewhere else? Surely Sedap has not closed for good. That would be disastrous for us as it is the only place in London which serves authentic Penang/Nyonya food. Their Penang char koay teow is... More

Bad reviews of this restaurant are, I think, totally unfair...Malaysian food might not be exactly as good as you remember it being but it's still better than any other Malaysian restaurant in London.....the char kway teow is exactly as you would get in Penang on Cheluh street they also do a great roti channai and many other dishes to a... Popped in here for a quick dinner alone, had black bean tofu and pak choi with garlic. Both were very fresh, barely needing to be cooked, with soft steamed rice and good jasmine tea. Sauces tasted not too sweet or salty, but interesting. Above average.

The reason we came here was because me being a Malaysian living abroad I was so longing for a good malaysian dish especially my favorite dish of all-time the nasi lemak! So bad( tak Sedap langsung ) such a disappointment! My friends dish was the Singapore laksa- which was even worse.. I think people form Malaysia or Singapore or even... More

Really can't rate this place highly enough, the food is perfect - absolutely delicious, by far the best Malaysian food I've had anywhere and easily the best I've tried in London. Sedap is a simple little restaurant on Old Street, just a few minutes' walk from Old Street Tube station and roundabout. I believe Sedap means delicious in Malay -... More

I come here often, either for the lunch deal or simply to take away. Their service is fast, the food is delicious and the prices are affordable. Good job!

I am a regular as I live near by I often order take-aways and they are always very fast. I was never disappointed with the quality of the food and the prices are honest and affordable. Great lunch deal! I am deeply in love with their sweet & sour chicken
