I stayed here whilst working in Dulwich. It is convenient to walk from North Dulwich station and there are plenty of buses nearby. Check in was a little uncoordinated but staff were helpful and polite. There are stairs and no lift but a member of...More

We booked a table (celebrating my husbands birthday weekend) wanted to finish it off with a lovely roast. When we arrrived we were told our reservation had not been booked by a member of staff, which was very disappointing. I had my one year old...More

129 pounds for a room which barely fit more than a double bed. Lacklustre staff who were clearly not hospitality professionals. Very average food in the restaurant (only 2 other tables occupied between 7-8.30pm on a Friday night tells you enough about their overpriced menu...More

We'd been before with our dog for a Sunday lunch and overall it had been good enough to encourage another visit. We booked a table for four and specifically asked for a table to accommodate our dog only to be told the policy was no...More

Recently moved to the area & was really impressed with the pub initially. Took friends for lunch & the service was horrendous. Were shoved in the dingy back room & given the wrong menus, the waitress went to fetch updated menus - & never returned!...More

Paid £13.50 for a burger & chips. For that price you'd expect something high quality. Apart from the brioche bun, the burger was pretty similar to what you'd get in Wetherspoons for less than half the price. The portion of chips was tiny - a...More

First visited in mid-September for a mid-week drink. I moved to the area a few months earlier so had never visited before the re-furb but it's now a good-sized, nice-looking, comfortable pub with a pleasant atmosphere and the bar staff were very friendly. They seemed...More

I organised a reunion last night for thirty old school friends. The night was a great sucess mainly due to Whitney the function manager. No request was too much. A true professional, always smiling. The food was first class and many of my guests were...More

We went to check out the pub today as we have a large group of friends staying there over our local wedding next year. We stood at the bar waiting for a drink for a long while whist being ignored by 3 separate members of...More

We ventured back after a while for a drink. The last time we visited it was a great disappointment but this time things seem to have improved. It was busy and welcoming, the service was better, no over loud music and a less corporate feel.As...More

Description
Affectionately known as the Dog, The Crown and Greyhound in Dulwich Village is a warm and welcoming oasis away from the fast lane of London life. The pub was once two: in the olden days the Crown served the gentry, while the Greyhound housed the labourers. Today there's no such nonsense; the whole community comes together under one roof to enjoy our rather tasty range of pub food, drink and entertainment. We have just been refurbing the pub and we are delighted to say we will be back open after nearly 3 years of closure with the addition of a hotel
