I am sure that I understand why there are so many people waiting up to buy a coffee. I tasted which is only average. I must admit the service is good. At least they come to take your order when you are waiting in line.

Its a Coffee shop that sells amazing coffee - honestly I'm not a coffee expert but there is a good reason that there is always a que of people waiting .. the coffee is amazing :)

Great cup of coffee. Love picking up a coffee here then going for a mooch around borough market. I try and fit it into any visit to London. It's always very busy so although it does have some seating probably not a great option if you're looking to park yourself for a bit.

What can I say. .. there are many coffee joints sprouting in London these days but Monmouth has stayed up there all these years. The silky smooth flat whites are just the thing to start the morning. The lines are long as would be expected but no one seems to mind. As a purchaser of beans, the staff offer the... More

Where do you get a good coffee in London on a Saturday morning? Monmouth Coffee in Borough Market of course! We travelled across the river for this and arrived at 7:45am to find it already packed! Super pastries and great coffee, it was well worth the trip and not just because it was just about the only place open before... More

Spoiled this yank rotten I tell you! Double cappuccino with a home made dark chocolate truffle made by local women. My boring morning nesspresso was no match for this palace of roast. Off the plane and first stop off the Heathrow express on the way to school. That's right, won't even look at another coffee shop.

Yes they do great coffee but my goodness get with the times, not everyone wants to drink cows milk anymore. Every other coffee shop does soy (and no I don't just mean chains) in fact I just found a new espresso bar I'm replacing them with.

Stopped by after lunch at Brindisa ... the smell alone while queuing was worth a top rating ... the special of the day was a filter coffee ... I'm normally an espresso drinker but the setup and smell convinced me it wouldn't be your average coffee .... it didn't disappoint at all ! Well worth going out of your way... More

Monmouth blend and roast coffee. The coffee they make is the best coffee around. A couple of other coffee shops make coffee as well, but they use Monmouth coffee! The flat white is rich and full of taste. A classic in its one right. I've been coming here for years and it is consistently brilliant. Try the truffles for a... More

Regularly come here on the my morning commute and this is perhaps some of the best coffee of my life. I've never had a flat white as exceptional. I just wish they made it bigger with a choice of milk options. Really is something special though! I will keep continuing to come every morning.

Thank Sean W

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
