WOW! We were so lucky to stumble into this pizzeria/ Italian restaurant. I had asked our waitress if they had a "wood burning" oven. Ardid, looked like the managing waiter, over heard us and responded " no, but you will love the pizza. Don't go with pasta." I took his advice and ordered #64 pizza with tuna fish. My daughter... Can't wait to return the food was amazing as was the service, you can't just turn up you will need to book in advance but it is well worth it. I am pretty sure it is Sicilian run as had a lot of traditional plates in the menu, no more expensive than anywhere else in central London. Great atmosphere, if... More

Needed a pasta intake one cold February afternoon whilst wandering around W1 and wasn't disappointed. Warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Spacious tables, wacky decor, polite service at table. Unobtrusive TV showing Euro cycling event. Both of us had the standard spaghetti dishes and a glass of house red wine followed by a decent coffee - just the ticket. Nothing to... More

A cosy, busy, lively little bistro just off New Bond Street. Food is generally good, but not great, but then the prices are not great either. Two courses for two people, without drinks, for £35 in the West End is something of a bargain. What it lacks in cuisine it makes up for in atmosphere and service. For casual dining... More

Went in for supper Friday. Not cheap, average price seemed to be £10 - 12 for a main. Can get a 3 course meal in some chains for that, before 7pm. The toilets needed a freshen up, the basin looked like it hadn't been washed for a day or two, and the toilet handle was broken. A glass of wine... More

This was such a lucky find for lunch while Christmas shopping. Just off the main drag of Oxford street, nicely tucked away. Delicious pasta, good value wine and food, obviously popular with local businessmen. The service was good despite being busy. We will go back!

I am writing to warn everyone!!!! The place is shocking!!!! The Italian waiter was ARROGANT and RUDE. Food really mediocre but the worst was the hygiene of the "restaurant":all dirty and filthy. My risotto not edible, I mean raw and not fresh

While visiting London, England we were out to the theatre to see stomp. Decided to walk along Oxford St. My boyfriends feet got sore and as usual his stomach was sore also! He was moaning about both. There were absolutely no restaurants on the main road and all the little side roads just had fast food or pubs. I notice... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
