Great food! Absolutely fantastic flavours. The chefs have got it just right. I will definitely be returning as this was my first time visiting. Staff could have been a little friendlier but I didn't leave gratitude because of this as felt like they didn't want me and my partner to be there. The food outshun the staffs rudeness though! :)... Like others, I wish I had read the reviews. I asked for a pint of beer, but they didn't do draught - offered me bottle of beer, choice of only 3. My wife asked for a gin and bitter lemon - didn't do bitter lemon - "fresh orange then ?" "Didn't do that either." She had a wine at around... More

Although the staff is very nice and friendly, the food is terrible and the prices they charge are absolutely atrocious, it's a rip off pure and simple.

Disgusting food, overbearing service. Just don't go here. I can't warn you enough. Go somewhere else no matter how hungry or desperate you are!!

I nearly walked on past when someone came out from the Bistro to "explain the menu". I'd already decided to go in. Once you are seated you discover that the menus are on tatty pieces of paper - again this should have warned me. The food is overpriced for what you get, even for this area of London. The wine... If I could score this thing lower I would, thing because it cant be classed as a restaurant. I can only echo the previous comments, its located very close to the exit of the aldwych theatre and in the dark appears cosy, thats where it ends. We had a disgusting pizza the size of your hand obviously pre bought, an... More

I wish we'd read these reviews first. Having just come out a matinee at the Theatre Royal opposite, we were in a hurry to eat an early diner before our train home. I chose tuna steak and chips and my daughter chose chicken polpetto (I think that's what they called it - basically meatballs with mash potato round them). My... More

Not only was the food obviously store bought and disgusting, but they found every possible excuse to scan us out of money. They advertised a 'minimum £10 food charge' but didn't include the extorsionate drinks! They then charged a 12.5% service charge even though the service was appauling. They were rude and sleazy and when we argued against the ridiculous... More

We popped into here for an 'express' pre theatre meal before seeing the Woman in Black at the Fortune Theatre. The food looked reasonable value on the menu outside but we should have realised something wasn't right as the place was empty. Unfortunately hadn't seen the reviews but have to agree with them whole heartly as this was one of... More

Quite simply the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I was charged £12.50 for cod and chips and it is the first time I have ever, on being asked how we were enjoying our meal, stated that I expected a lot better if I am being asked to pay that amount for a meal. Both my son and sister-in-law... More
