We made a reservation a the first time we came we were told to wait 2 hours. There's a good selection of dishes to pick from although it's not as extensive as other places I've been too which serve similar food. Prices were really reasonable and the quality was good. We had a selection of the skewers, dumplings, boiled lamb,... More
Now this is a place where you don’t even care whether the service is good or not (the service was average if you really want to know) because the food was that tasty. Once friend actually traveled all the way from Morden (South London) to come to this restaurant. All of the dishes are superb, so you can’t go wrong.... More
Wow an experience indeed - the lace was manically busy and I imagine much more like eating in china than most places you find in the U.K. - no msg !! Freshly cooked food with clean flavours and authentic! We loved most of the dishes we chose ( it's a fairly small menu ) but some were too hot (chillies)... More
I don't remember having bad Chinese takeaway anymore... because if I want some good Chinese there is only one local to go to- Silk Road. Nowadays if you don't book be prepared to be turned away as people flock to fill up the tables. Certainly wednesday - saturday. Really nice fresh and zingy style of Chinese, perhaps not as recognisable... More
Firstly you'll need to book as is so popular. It is a no frills cheap and cheerful affair, sitting close to other on benches, so good for big groups or friends but probably wouldn't take the parents or in laws. It's busy and plates come as and when they are ready. Lots of cheaper cuts of meat used such as... More
Fantastic authentic, cheap and delicious Chinese food. Don't expect your sweet and sour chicken and special fried rice because you won't get it here. The cabbage and chilli dish is a must, the noodles are rustic and home made on the premises and lip smackingly tasty. The Cucumber dish a stand out too. I've been twice and haven't been disappointed... More
Highly recommended place to try xinjiang (northwestern China) food. The food is mainly noodles, stews & kebab. Not your ordinary Chinese takeaway food & certainly not for the faint hearted. Loved their food & very reasonable price. Near to where I work!
Most dishes here are really great: the double cooked pork, the chilli chicken, the luxury noodles, the fried dumplings. I was a little bit disappointed with the aubergine but everything else was great. Service was fine, meal was SO cheap
