Office locals will congregate any time of day. Good quality lunchtime food, separate dining area, an outdoor area for smokers at the rear with patio heaters or a seated area for those not wanting to stand. An excellent little pub for those in the know.

One of my friend from work is getting married so we decided to come here for a few drinks to celebrate. This pub has a fantastic atmosphere and a nice little outdoor area too. Definitely recommend it as a great British pub.

This place is located right behind the Hilton Doubletree, so if you are staying there, just pop out the back door and its right across the lane. This is not a fine dining place but rather a pub so you will only find 'pub' food....More

I had lunch at The Crutched Friar in June 2017. It´s quite a big place but was very quiet at early lunchtime. I very much liked the atmosphere and the service was very personal and friendly too. The burger was excellent although the amount of...More

Good pub food, large portions, good service and (most surprising) normal provincial prices. Of course it was noisy but what do you expect in a C of L pub at the end of the working day?

This pub has the typical selection of good English beers. The food was good as well. Filling and tasty - but nothing to set it far apart from other good pubs. The place is clean and there are nice smaller rooms to sit in. I...More

It's just the meat from the tail of the scampi. You won't notice any difference in taste from the other body meat of the scampi. Battered scampi is a popular British pub dish. It is one of the easiest things a pub can cook... More
