We were walking past today and saw a table outside in the sun, so decided to have a couple of beers, while we sat there all the tables were eating around us and it looked so good we had to try some, I can truthfully say the sushi was some of the best i have had in years , the... More

After returning from living in Japan for a year, I found myself really missing this type of Japanese cafe - where the feeling is home made, comfort food, cute decor, and a relaxed atmosphere. There are many Japanese restaurants in London but a lot tend to offer "the usual" Japanese fayre, which is about as diverse as if only fish... More

I've been living in the neighborhood for 3 years but I was never attracted to go inside and try this place and now I really regret it. Had miso soup and salmon teriyaki, very fresh and tasty. Overall great prices for the area and healthy food. Will come back for sure!

I love this place so much. The last time we were in London we came here as it was near our hotel and again we were not disappointed. The staff were incredibly kind and very sweet. The food was just as amazing as it was the last time. It's only a little restaurant but it's worth visiting, don't be put... More

I'm a regular here now as it's never disappointed and the staff are always delightful. Great mix of hot food, rice dishes and sushi / sashimi, prepared fresh. Also a commendable range of vegan, veggie and gluten free options. Lovely!

From the outside it looks like a japanese canteen, but the food was very tasty and we think it makes up very well for a quick and enjoyable dinner. Both the crispy tuna and the Salmon teriyaki were good. Pumpkin chips were a bit dry. Service is very friendly.

I went to Necco last night and it was absolutely amazing. The staff are so friendly and the food was incredible. Everything is labelled for vegans/vegetarians too and there's so much choice. It's really reasonable too, you really get value for money. Definitely one of the best places to eat in London.

If you come in London, you must eat here. It's tasty and staff are friendly. It's cheaper than other restaurant in London when you want to eat Japanese foods. I am back next time.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
