After hearing much hype about this place I wanted to love it. We were sat in a small private "cave" which I initially loved. After a while it became hot and I could see staff trying to get the air con going. It got even hotter. They started off well. Lots of attention and first round of drinks arrived. Then... More

I am afraid that I seem to have had a completely different experience from the majority of visitors to this establishment. Despite having reservations we were made to wait at the top of the stairs to be eventually told we could descend the stairs, only to find ourselves in a dark and dismal basement which had in one corner a... I love this place, great atmosphere and really interesting and unique cocktails. A little on the pricey side so a definite treat but I think the price is worth it for the quality. Really enjoyed the live music also.

The 'Town and Country' review was the driver that brought a party of 4 of us to this dismal venue. Well, 'Town and Country' must have had one too many complimentary sherries!.....the seating was woeful, as was the service; 30 minutes before we were asked if we wanted a drink, followed by a further 20 minute wait. Also, this is... More

The place is very well decorated and well organised for the ones who wants to hear good music in a comfortable setting. Saturday night when we were there the group on stage was a bit "low energy" but we appreciated their music anyway. The cocktail selection is big and may be too big. I personally felt a bit "too much"... More

What a gem that place is. Perfect 1920s' atmosphere. Really special and unique cocktails with a huge variety done perfectly. Old 1920s' jazz/blues live music by a band of 3 old gentlemen completes the scenery. Great place for a fancy date and a great night out. Definitely will be back.

A great experience and a must for the cocktails if going to Shoreditch. The door to get in can be hidden and the tables under the archways are a nice feature of this cool bar.

We went on a Bank Holiday Friday evening, and were able to get reservations at a great time only the week before we went (Although the Saturday was full, so try and book earlier if you can!). When we arrived we had to wait for our table to be ready, but the door staff were very friendly and helpful. When... More

This cool little place is located behind a non-descript entrance somewhere is Shoreditch. Knock three times, and if you're lucky (or you have a reservation) the door man will open the door and let you in. Down the stairs you'll find an ultra-cool jazz bar, packed (even late on a Sunday night) with guests of all ages; drinking the most... More

Visited on a Monday, quite late, and it was still full with a great atmosphere. This place has such a cool vibe. Cocktails are crazy, in a good way. People on the door are so weird with strange power issues though.

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
