Needed somewhere to go for dinner and my wife suggested booking this place which didn't seem a problem. Upon arriving, the bar area was very crowded and the food was overrated for what it was. Bland and overpriced that I was disappointed with and didn't enjoy the experience at all including, the service from the staff. Worth trying once as... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here - significantly better than previous experience in main restaurant downstairs. Service, ambience and some truly delicious food made for a memorable night - would recommend highly!

I have NEVER been treated so poorly in 30 years of dining out! I patronized this restaurant ( bringing a group of eight) the month it opened and subsequently recommended it to dozens of people. I was glad to have an opportunity to return, never expecting to be so abused. It was my guests' wedding anniversary and I had planned... More

Great place for a special occasion or if you simply crave ceviche. The ambient is alive with nice house music playing at the bar.

Through a Time Out offer I've had the chance to try this renowned Peruvian restaurant and its fabulous food. Despite the size of appetizers, both starters - sea bass croquettes and chicken skewers - were perfectly seasoned and delicate. The sea bream fillet was the best had in London and the savoury potatoes well balanced by the fresh fennel on... More

It is so sad that for such good food you get such poor service- an attitude of couldn't care less!! So if you are willing to accept the poor service - just for the delicious food- its totally different- yet very vegetarian friendly! Worth trying!

The food was not innovative, however everything was tasty. Particularly tuna tartare, sea bass ceviche and a yellowtail dish in a creamy sauce made of chilli, coriander and lime were among the best ever tried. Service was slow and rather bland. Prices are on the very expensive side.

Description
Award winning Coya has been bringing the spirit of Latin America to the heart of Mayfair since November 2012. Located in a listed Georgian building Coya comprises a members' club with a terrace, a main restaurant and our Pisco Bar. Main restaurant: The downstairs restaurant features an open ceviche bar where diners can sit and enjoy a wide range of classic ceviches and tiraditos which are freshly prepared. A robata grill brings ox heart, duck breast and tiger prawns along with vegetables, poultry and seafood. For something sweet, try our sundae de maiz (sweetcorn ice cream). Pisco Bar: A vibrant bar serving the finest cocktails Latin America has to offer. Pisco Bar's team has scoured the best bars in Lima to fine-tune the famous pisco sour and create a menu of pisco-based cocktails and infusions that are second to none. One of their most popular is the chilli margarita. Pisco Bar open for Bar food all day from 12noon until 0:30 am. Members' club: Art, music and culture come together from all over Latin America, the UK and beyond, creating an experience that is both unique and exciting for Coya's global members, having the opportunity to enjoy live music and performances five nights per week, along with a dedicated art collective of events.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
